Nine years ago today, the tiniest little hand wrapped around my finger and changed my world forever. 🥹💙 From those precious preemie days to the incredible 9-year-old who lights up my world daily, watching you grow has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Today, we celebrate YOU! Your big personality, your imagination, your curiosity, your laughter, and of course, your love for all things LEGO! And if there’s one thing I know, it’s that you’re building something amazing with every year that passes and I am SO proud of you!! (including this new grown up look with this new cut 😩🥹)

24 years of sacrifice, prayers, tears, sweat, tough conversations, daddy roars, laughter, hugs, kisses, and most importantly, love.

Our children are beyond blessed to have you as their father, and I hope they never take for granted the gift of having a dad who shows up for them the way you do. Thank you for every lesson, every sacrifice, every moment of encouragement, and every ounce of love you’ve poured into this family.

You are a protector, provider, coach, comedian, and biggest supporter. We hope today reminds you just how deeply you are loved, appreciated, and celebrated not just for what you do, but for who you are.

Watching my baby complete her middle school journey tonight feels unreal. 🥹✨

From maintaining A/B Honor Roll all year, to serving as a Student Ambassador, to shining in Robotics Club you have led with intelligence, kindness, confidence, and heart every single step of the way. I’ve watched you grow into such a beautiful leader, and I could not be more proud of the young woman you are becoming. 🥹❤️

I didn’t cry when it mattered… so today, I let it all out.

A common theme throughout this Summit was, “y’all are not going to make me cry.” I fought hard to hold it together, pushing every emotion down while in execution mode. But today… I finally let them go.

Tears of joy.
Tears of pride.
Tears of exhaustion.
Tears of success.

I am my own worst critic. I overanalyze. I overthink. Why? Because I care deeply about what I produce. And I gave the 20th NC Black Summit everything I had…every detail, every plan, every ounce of me.

And it all came together beautifully over those two days.

The success of this event wasn’t about me or even our team, it was about the experience. Creating a safe space where our power could be unleashed… and where purpose could unite.

I’m proud. 🥹

This was the moment.
This was our moment.

And now… we rest. ✨

Radiant on the outside, but even more so from within. The sweetest, most thoughtful spirit, with a wisdom far beyond your years. Your brilliance and creativity never cease to amaze me.

Sometimes I’m in awe that someone as imperfect as me was blessed to be your mom.

I am so incredibly proud of the young lady you are becoming, and I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings. (High school 😩)

Life is moving so fast, and if I could, I’d freeze time just to keep you in my bubble a little while longer.

Chapter 43 🥂✨

This year, I chose something different, I chose stillness.

Life has been full, and instead of making plans, I chose the gift of rest. No work, no responsibilities… just space to breathe.

Pressing pause wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. And I’m learning that taking time for myself isn’t something I have to earn, it’s something I deserve.

If this new chapter brings anything, I hope it’s more intentional pauses, more quiet reflection, and more moments where I pour back into myself.

Here’s to a softer, fuller, more present year.
