Mya is 22 years old today! What a gift! So thankful we got to celebrate her in person as she was home for a wedding this weekend. 💒Senior year at Xavier starts tomorrow! ⚔️ She will also continue to work at the dermatology office where she has been working all summer in Cinci. She was so excited to head back to her teammates and bestfriends and to be with her sister. And unknown to Mya her sister and roomie decorated her room to surprise her when she returned! Avery Miller. Our baby. We moved her into Xavier University with the sweetest roommate, from the best family. She gets to live with her teammates, play with her sister, and meet and grow with future nurses to ultimately make the world a better place. I will miss her endlessly. In such a busy season, we feel overwhelmed by those who could come and celebrate Avery at her graduation party this weekend. It was an absolutely beautiful day of sun, friendship, family and community. I wish I could’ve taken photos of everyone and spoken to people more. We will always cherish this memory! What a season! What began as a young girl tagging along with her sisters to another sport in second grade, turned into a passion and deep love for lacrosse. Avery has found out so much about herself through the “medicine game.” She signed herself up for private training, did countless extra work outs, and showed up with joy daily to help her team that she loved. 🧡
She wrapped up 11 years of playing at Hoover with earning the Viking award for leadership and made the Div 1 Region 2 Second Team. Avery, along with her coaches and largest class of seniors ever FINALLY broke through the third round of playoffs to make it to the fourth round. They became the first ever Division 1 Hoover Lady Lacrosse team to earn hardware as the Regional Runner-ups.🏅 What a truly special history making season.

As our family says goodbye to Hoover Lady Lacrosse, we will always support. Thankful for the lessons learned, the trials, victories, and faith increased.
12 years ago, in 2015- Jordan was asked to join the middle school team as there weren’t enough girls to play. A year later I was asked to be the administrator for the youth program and was soon scheduling games, fields and paying referees from 3-8th grade. Next I would become lacrosse board secretary and then president. I enjoyed it and made great friends as we worked to keep the program flourishing so every girl could play. THANK YOU to all the coaches, friends, and families. 🤗

Beyond grateful that we get to continue to watch Avery play as she joins Mya at Xavier University in the Big East Conference this fall. It will be difficult, fun and very fulfilling. She has already begun her workout packet to prepare.
Praying God will be glorified through it all. 🙏
