Summer 2026!

This past spring semester was the worst time of my life, genuinely. So much was going on with me personally I was at some really low points and it was really hard for me to push through. So I went into this summer fully expecting to be disappointed and not really enjoy it. It started out really rough with my grandpa passing away, and having that follow the travesty that was spring was really really hard on me like, it was so bad. However, that put into perspective things on my life. You only have so much time on this Earth before it’s over… why not make the most of it? Why not take risks, do things you wouldn’t normally do, make new decisions?? So that’s what I did… I made the most of this summer.

One of the best summers of my life guys… genuinely. Like, I don’t think there was a single day where I just rotted in my bed doom scrolling or anything. I was out and about, hanging out with friends, participating in shows, traveling the world, LINE DANCING??? If you told me this time last year I would’ve gone line dancing and enjoyed it, I woulda called you crazy. I took risks this summer, I made decisions I NEVER would have made last year… but that’s kind of the beauty of life isn’t it?? You could have a solid trajectory of what you want to do, have your whole life planned out from day one. But if that’s how you live life… there would be no surprises. Nothing to keep you on your toes, nothing to get you super excited. I always find life more fun when you’re always looking for something new to do, always keeping yourself busy with people around you and hobbies to participate in. I mean, the show I did this summer was THE BEST I’ve ever been in. Had I not taken the risk to audition despite the mental state I was in, I would not be able to say that.

I just want to thank everyone who helped me out of the depressive state I was in. I genuinely didn’t think I would be okay after last semester, but you guys helped me through it… so thank you for that. I’m running out of words but… I love you all. Thanks for being in my life.

Something Rotten!

Guys I know I say this everytime, but I really really mean it this time… BEST SHOW IVE EVER BEEN IN!!! Holy crap, everything about this show was just, spectacular. I unfortunately started much later in this rehearsal process so I didn’t get to meet or see really anyone until like, the second or third weekend of rehearsals, so it took me a bit more time to get used to working with PCT and to really get close with everyone, but MAN once it all clicked for me, UGH I had an absolute blast the entire time. Thank you @pctshows for giving me such an incredible opportunity to work alongside all of these amazing people!

This show was so fun!!! Really really well put together, and there was not a single moment where I had any doubt about what we were doing. Everyone worked so hard and I found our production of Something Rotten to be something really special. I believe everyone portrayed the story, the world, and the characters of the musical PERFECTLY on stage and I’m so glad we got that opportunity. Something Rotten is such a special show to me and it’s been awesome being able to be in it!!

Also, SHOUTOUT to Nigel Bottom bro. I thought SpongeBob was gonna be the peak of my enjoyment with portraying a character on stage, but believe it or not, Nigel has been my favorite character to play ever. Possiblyyy because he’s just me on stage, but he also has some great development and growth. He’s not just a one sided character, he really is a different person by the end of the show than he was at the start. I feel like I’ve learned a lot about characterization and portraying character growth in stage because Nigel. Going from this shy younger brother to really speaking up for himself and standing his ground with what he feels and wants in his life was so enjoyable to try and portray on this stage, and I will FOREVER be grateful for the opportunity to play this role.

Overall, one of the best theatre experiences I have ever had and I’m so happy to have met and worked alongside everyone in this show!! This show will forever hold a special place in my heart and is one I will NEVER forget.

The SpongeBob Musical!!

It still doesn’t feel real! Ever since I got into musical theatre and discovered that The SpongeBob Musical was a thing, I so badly wanted to be SpongeBob SquarePants. He has been my dream role for YEARS! It’s just such a fun and whimsical musical that I just wanted to be able to be a goofball on stage and portray that. I relate to SpongeBob in so many ways. We both see the positive in the world, we both want others to have fun, and we both give off as much positive energy as we possibly can. Throughout my life, people have said that I remind them of SpongeBob. SpongeBob has been such a big part of my life, I grew up with this show, I’ve seen so so so many episodes and consistently quote it over and over again. So…. TO ACTUALLY BE HIM HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE DREAM COME TRUE

I will FOREVER be so so grateful to @omticolumbus @emilykirtland and @makenna_kirtland for giving me the greatest opportunity that I have ever been given in my life. This show was an absolute blast to be apart of and has been the greatest experience EVER. Also my castmates??? I say this with every show, but I really really mean it this time when I say we all CLICKED!!! Like, from day one I immediately felt a strong bond with every single person in this cast. Everyone in this production are so nice, caring, and so extremely talented?? Like I felt like we did such an amazing job of portraying the world of Bikini Bottom on stage, whether it be with our improv bits, characterization, or literally anything else! Everyone here understood what we were trying to put on and gave 110%!!! There were hardships, yes. This past week was like, the most stressful week of my life with a choir concert, shows, work, and also finals week. But, putting on this show was the best part of my life, even if my voice said “screw you buddy”. I love these people with my whole heart, and am so sad it is over.

This genuinely has been just, a dream come true. I remember listening to the musical for the first time in my junior year of high school and being like “I want to be SpongeBob, I need to be him before I stop doing theatre.” And here we are, dreams fulfilled. Thank you!

Amelie!!!

What a musical this was. Definitely one of the most interesting and unique shows I’ve done. The rehearsal process was honestly a lot. There were a lot of moments of uncertainty for me and worry throughout, but once we got to show week I felt really good about what we were putting on. The show itself is great, it had some really funny moments and some really sweet and wholesome story beats throughout as well. Nino was such a fun character to portray on stage and I’m super happy that I was able to do so. The characters in this show are super quirky and unique, but it’s okay and important to embrace those aspects of yourself, not push them away.

Per usual at a Capital show, the cast was an absolute blast to be with. I’m so grateful to everyone who I got to goof around and hang out backstage with, that’s definitely the part that I’m going to miss the most (already do lowkey haha). I loved dancing backstage, making jokes, or just having good conversations with everyone, I’m so glad I’ve gotten closer with so many of you.

Unfortunately, this is the first time I’ve had a show where I could not perform at 110%, my voice gave out during tech week and it did suck, like a lot not being able to give it my all. However, I made it work and I think we were able to put on one heck of a show. Despite all of the hardships, I don’t regret doing this show, it’s definitely a show that won’t disappear into thin air 😉

Frozen!

What an amazing experience to be apart of!! Who knew that being in a winter themed production during winter time would be so fun? Seriously though, I feel like I always get so close with people towards the end of the show, and then I get super sad because I only got to spend so much time actually hanging out with everyone. All of these people are extremely talented and are an absolute blast to be around. Whether we’re having fun on stage or backstage, it was always such a blast to be around these guys!!

The show itself was also a ton of fun!! In all honesty, it did take til opening night for me to feel like I was fully confident with everything. However, we all came together, pulled it off, and put on such an amazing show. Once again, I have had such a wonderful experience @omticolumbus and with @emilykirtland !! I’m so looking forward to doing more shows with them in the future!

Kristoff was such a fun role to portray on stage as well! I loved being able to portray a character who comes off as a snarky guy, only to slowly his walls break down to reveal he really cares about the people around him, and discover that he doesn’t know everything, despite thinking he did. I also liked doing Sven voice it was fun and silly

I always yap when it comes, but this show really meant a lot to me, these people really mean a lot to me, and it was such an honor to be able to perform in this show as the reindeer guy.

Grease!!!

I can’t express enough how much this show means to me. Imma be honest, I was a little burnt out from theatre for a minute after 9 to 5 was done, but they asked me to join last minute, and I said yes (because I wanted to sing Greased Lightning). Gotta say, best decision I’ve ever made.

This cast has been the greatest group of people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. Everyone was so welcoming, kind, and extremely fun to be around!!! Not only that, but they’re also extremely talented! I don’t think I’ve clicked with a cast as quickly as I have with these guys.

EVEN THEN, the show itself was just an absolute blast to be apart of! Kenickie was such a fun role to be, the dancing was fun, the singing was enjoyable, and driving a car on stage was scary (but exciting)! Everyday I miss being with these people because of just how much fun I had with them every single day. We had so much fun on and off stage, and I’m so excited to see what these people do in the future (and hopefully we can all work together again too!)

Thanks for those who came to see the show as well! Theatre is a place for people to be who they want to be! A lot of people don’t do it just to make money, but it’s because they want to do it because it’s fun! It’s an art form and a place for people to be themselves. @omticolumbus is an absolutely fantastic place for students to express themselves through theatre and learn so many new things, so for that I hope you guys will continue to support them and everything they do, because they will do everything they can to support students dreams when it comes to the performing arts.

I’m a yapper I know, I just have a lot to say, but I’m done now! I love you all so much, and thank everyone who was able to be apart of or see this show! Kenickie OUT!! by @ktornado

End of year post: Part 2 - 2nd Semester

Now, in a completely stark contrast to my first semester at college, this semester has been one of the best semesters of schooling I’ve ever had. I was able to still hang out with some of my friends from high school, but also met and got so much closer with all my new friends in college. I found my new theatre family and am so grateful to be apart of the theatre department at Capital. Overall, I just had a really fantastic time and did a lot! I dyed my hair dark, I performed in my first college show, got the male lead in the musical, got close with the so many other people, actually got funnier at improv, and I really came out of my shell this semester and feel at home at Capital University. I had some doubts at the start of this year, but boy am I glad I stayed and am so grateful to all of the amazing people that I have met this year. I love you all so much and will be forever grateful for such an amazing year you have given me! Here’s to next semester!!! by @ktornado

End of year post: Part 1 - 1st Semester

Well I made it through my first year of college!! Going over the first semester, it was a really really rough time for me. I had some really bad thoughts and it was really rough adjusting to the college life style. A lot of work, a lot of struggles to get through, but the end of the semester was a fantastic time. I had some fun at Fiiz, had some fun with a lot of friends, some great dates with my love, and I got a bit closer with some of my new college friends! It took a lot of adjusting, but it was a good start to this new lifestyle. However, 2nd semester is where things got so much better, which I will go over in my text post. Thanks for such great great semester ❤️ by @ktornado

“Re-gender myself in a flowing wig and garments? How classic.”
Head Over Heels was such a SPECTACULAR show to be apart of. I’m so grateful to have been given the chance to play the role of Musidorus during my first year of college?? It’s still crazy to me. This cast is really special to me and I’m so happy to be apart of this theatre department now! Thanks to everyone who came and saw this show. This show is about acceptance and spreading love no matter who the person is, and I think we all did a fantastic job showing that off! I love you all so much, and am sad the show is over. However, I’m excited for what’s to come next! And always remember… “We got the beat!!!” by @ktornado
