When your daughter says she misses snuggling in bed with her mama and Elle… you make it happen. 🥹❤️

We drove and met each other halfway, and of course, I couldn’t just show up empty-handed. I found an air mattress for the back of the car, packed all her favorite snacks, and couldn’t sleep the night before because it felt a little bit like Christmas morning. 🎄

We had a nice brunch, spent a couple of hours watching Friends, catching up on life, and doing what we both needed most—snuggling. 🤍

And then it was time to send her back to school to keep doing big things.

She left feeling a little more renewed and a whole lot loved. And I left with a full heart, knowing that no matter how far away she is, if she needs her mama, we’ll find a way to make the snuggles happen. ❤️

“Above all, keep loving each other earnestly.” — 1 Peter 4:8

Go do big things, baby girl. Mama loves you tremendously. We’ll be right here waiting for the next snuggle. #dolly by @ktsims23

Happy 18th Birthday to my Leah Lauren! 🤍

It truly seems like yesterday I was holding you in my arms, and now I’m watching you step into 18 with so much joy and anticipation for all that’s ahead. You are, without a doubt, my favorite person in the world to spend time with. I’m so thankful for every conversation, every laugh, every adventure, and simply getting to be your mom.

My greatest joy is watching the young woman you’ve become, and I am so excited to see how God is going to use your life. I pray you always trust His plan, follow where He leads, and let your light shine wherever you go.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

One last week at home before dropping our girl Leah off at UNC Wilmington. 🤍

We filled the days with some of our very favorite things—Father of the Bride, watching Friends, time with Elle, good food, lots of laughter, and simply being together. The kind of week you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

As we get ready to leave her at UNCW, our hearts are full. Full of pride, excitement, gratitude, and maybe a few tears. We know this is just the beginning of something so special for her.

Leah, go make memories, love big, and let God lead the way. We’ll always be cheering you on. 💙⚓️

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Here’s to your next chapter, Leah Lauren. We love you tremendously!! @leahlsimmons by @ktsims23

A little fact about me: Olive shells are my favorite. 🐚🤍

Over the years, my husband and kids have always picked them up whenever they find one because they know how much I love them. This little bowl of shells makes me so happy—not just because of the shells, but because each one reminds me that they saw it, thought of me, and brought it home.

And the sweetest part is, this bowl is just a small collection—there are so many more at home from all the years of beach walks and little “I found one for you” moments. Each one carries a memory, and together they tell a story I never want to forget.

It’s the little things that mean the most. 🤍 by @ktsims23
