I’m in my late 20s and I’ve officially started questioning the plot. 🌷

Because somewhere between being an anxious girlie, experiencing burnout and trying to become the best version of myself, I realised something.

Not everything we’ve been taught to admire is actually good for us.

Being constantly busy isn’t necessarily ambition.

Being the girl who never complains isn’t necessarily strength.

And spending your entire 20s trying to become prettier, thinner, more successful and more likeable isn’t necessarily self-improvement.

Sometimes it’s just exhausting.

I’m learning that romanticising your life doesn’t mean making every moment productive, aesthetically pleasing or worthy of an Instagram post.

Sometimes it means having boundaries, wearing the colourful outfit, taking up space and enjoying your life exactly as it is.

Even when you’re still figuring everything out.

Especially then.

So consider this my unofficial resignation from being the girl who has everything together.

She’s tired. And she’d quite like to enjoy herself now.
