Another stunning Mixed Sandstone project

This chimney breast has been transformed by he Mixed Sandstone Stone Cladding from @kucibrickslips and completed by the inspiration of @rowe.bysophie & @rowe.interiors

Love how the different tones in the stone have come together — gives the room a nice bit of character without being too much.

✨The Front Room ✨

This is what we had, this is what we wanted and this is what we did!!

This started off as many conversations dreaming of having a snug room in time for this winter. We had an idea of what we wanted, but of course, like anything, was a case of time and money. But we were committed. So much so, we did it all ourselves.

✨ We are very proud of this one ✨

After a few quotes that were out of our budget we decided to do it ourselves. Obviously Chat GPT helped us along the way 😅.
Just for context, in one of our quotes we were quoted £430 JUST for the beam - so we picked ourselves up a piece of wood from Howarth Timber for £40, cut it, stained it and got it just how we wanted!
We spent days searching around reclamation yards for the right hearth stone, but again, after some mad prices of £950 JUST for the stone dad came up clutch with some left over stone from his garden reno 🤌🏽

What was an absolute must, was the mixed sandstone bricks slips we’d seen from Kuci Design!! Stunning.

All in we saved ourselves just under £5000 😬😬.

We’ve done everything in this room bar fit the fireplace and carpet. We have sat here many times in admiration of what we’ve done 😍

RIP our backs 🪦 💀

Ready for another complete transformation?!…

This one was a complete renovation of the layout, transforming what were originally two smaller en-suites, both in need of a serious refurb, into one much larger master en-suite.

The old entrance from the office/bedroom was boarded up, along with the entrance into the second bathroom, and the dividing wall was removed to create one generous space.

The new en-suite now includes a shower, his & her sinks and a freestanding bath raised on a platform overlooking the garden and fields.

The bedroom has had just as much of a transformation. The old fitted wardrobes were removed, creating space for the new entrance into the en-suite, complete with this beautiful oak sliding door.

We also enlarged the window opening and fitted a new window supplied by @fairmitreshropshire. And talking of windows… we created the circular window in the stone wall, which has completely changed the room. The amount of natural light it brings in is incredible.

The old carpet was removed and replaced with engineered oak flooring, tying everything together with the existing character of the room — from the stone cladded wall and exposed beam to the arched entrance.

A completely different layout, but one that makes so much more of the space.

Semi-reveal 🤎

The master bedroom and ensuite are almost there… minus the under-bed rug, which I know is essential! 😂

We were so pleased to collaborate with @floordepotuk on the flooring, and made a last-minute decision to carry it all the way through into the ensuite. I’m so glad we did — I absolutely love how it flows through both spaces and ties everything together.

@fairmitreshropshire are always our choice for the most perfect windows!

@tribe.joinery designed and made our bed, bedside tables, bedroom shelf beam, sink vanity unit, wooden beam and ceiling beam in the bathroom. As well as other items around our home 🤍

& of course @kucibrickslips for our stone cladding!🤍

A huge thank you to @dlcarpentry.ltd for renovating this space and of course my Pops for decorating 😘😘.

I’m so proud of how all my middle-of-the-night decisions have paid off 😂. People will always question the ideas… but not many will question the result. Trust your gut 🤍 by @kucibrickslips

We have finally got round to finishing our stone cladding and what a beauty it is!!😍

It has to be the best feature in the house and we can not wait to get our hands on the other chimney in the kitchen to compliment each other.

🔥 Another stunning fireplace completed this week! 🔥

This one was finished using the beautiful Mixed Sandstone Cladding from @kucibrickslips , finished off perfectly with an American White Oak mantle shelf. 🪵

A massive thank you to @lomax_1990 & @meg_lomax for trusting us to carry out the work in your beautiful home — and thank you both for looking after us while we were there.

And finally, happy retirement Jonny! 👏

An absolute legend for what you’ve achieved in the game. Enjoy the next chapter mate.

Operation: Stone Cladding

From the first piece to the final finish, watch this project come together.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about seeing stone cladding transform a space — adding texture, character and a timeless finish that completely elevates the overall look.

Another project coming together beautifully.
