Patience pays off on a place like the Mentawai Islands. After 10 days of north winds and tricky conditions but good surf, my lifetime friend @gonvelarde finally got a break and got the wave of the day and an unforgettable barrel today on a classic morning session at one of our many spots. After 20 days of storms high tides evil winds & heavy rains the elements and harsh conditions on the Central Mentawai area finally gave us a break with some classic and beautiful weather conditions and some tiny clean surf…and some more of it might be on its way for some classic end of the year sessions.
