Sometimes, going darker with your brows is absolutely 100% necessary! 👀 And I feel like this is something we need to talk about more, and something to help our clients not be afraid of! 🩵❤️ We all know that going a smidge darker can often buy us a little more time with our tint. Generally speaking, the deeper the colour, the longer it can take to fade. But honestly, that's only a tiny part of the reason I'd sometimes choose to go darker! Lou, who's in this video, is the perfect example of this! She has around a base 6 hair colour, but as you can see, her natural brows are a completely different depth and tone. They're much lighter, much warmer, and after a summer of sunshine, that warmth has become even more noticeable! Now, there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with warmer, lighter brows, I adore that look and if thats what the client is vibing, they're gorgeous! But on Vic? It's just not the look she enjoys, and ultimately, that's what we're working towards. Brows that feel right for HER! 🩵 So, what do we do? Do we play it safe with a medium brown and throw a little ash into the mix to cool everything down? Well, we could! And sometimes that would be absolutely enough. But I've found that on brows with this much underlying warmth, those softer ash tones don't always give me the neutralisation or lasting result I'm looking for. And this is where my favourite little trick comes in... 👀 A TINY pinch of black or blue-black in my tint recipe! YES, EVEN ON MY BLONDE CLIENTS! 🤯😂 I know that sounds a bit extreme, especially when we're talking about someone who's naturally fair, but hear me out! We're not throwing black tint on someone's brows and hoping for the best! We're using a very small amount of a cooler pigment to help counteract that underlying warmth, and although of course, every tint range behaves differently, and knowing your products, ratios and how those pigments develop is SO important. But don't be scared of going a little deeper when you know there's a reason for it! 🎊❤️🩵 Have you tried this? @lashglouk @labfactorpro @bronsunuk by @kukubrows
How do you even describe the feeling of taking the lashes off the shield, you can't take your eyes off the level of lift, to then realise to your horror, that there's just one pesky outer lash that's been left off the shield 😭 The sheer relief when he bounced back up to where he should be! 🥵😂 This lift, these eyes, her little face, it was all just perfect 😍❤️🩵 I am lucky enough to be part of a small testing team that tests and reviews amazing lash and brow products being brought to the market by an amazing brand and this month, I received the MOST exciting package so far! The lash shields of my absolute dreams! 🎊 A shield that I have literally wished for a brand to bring out, and there it was! In all it's glory! I have never loved a shield so much and I literally cannot wait to be able to talk about them! 🎊🫶 its a shield that every tech will need in their kit and I can't imagine a lash they wouldn't be amazing for! 😍🩵❤️ @labfactorpro by @kukubrows
You know you're in an inclusive space when you watch a consultantion video back and 98% of anything spoken was indeed not heard by anyone yet you didn't stop speaking for 90 minutes 😂 I just love my job 🥹 I adore my team, I am utterly obsessed with our clients, & I am so grateful we created this space where everyone gets to shine in exactly the way they want to🥰 I am the luckiest girl in the world to call this my thing 🩵❤️🩵❤️🩵❤️ Lami is forever the OG @lashglouk Solo from @labfactorpro Lashlift is the gentle kind @hayali_shop by @kukubrows
You'd have an absolute field day rooting through the stock cupboards at KUKU 😂👀 There's 14 years of lash shields, every shape, every size, colour and every brand known to man. I've convinced myself over the years that I needed every single one of them 👀 Every time something new comes out, I NEED to know what it does, how it lifts, whether it does something different and, most importantly, whether it's going to survive under the pressure of the Nibovi Ultra sonic cleaner 20 times! 😂😂 It's a mixture of curiosity, FOMO and deffo an addiction 😕 But weirdly, when I actually think about my day-to-day lashlifting, out of the HUNDREDS of shields I've collected over the years, I pretty much reach for the same TWO every single time, infact if I'm 100% honest with myself, I don't actually remember the last time I did a lift using any other shield?! It's not because I think everything else is rubbish, far from it! There's some absolutely amazing shields out there, and I've learnt so much from trying them all ❤️🩵 It's just that, for me, those two cover pretty much everything I come across. Different lash types, eye shapes, awkward growth patterns, all the little problems that we come across from client to client, I've got to know them so well that I know what I can get out of them and how to make them work for me 🙏 And Id say that's probably the biggest thing I've learnt from all those years of collecting. Sometimes it's not about having MORE options, it's about really understanding the ones you've already got ❤️🩵 Don't get me wrong, am I going to stop buying and trialling new shields? Absolutely not. I've come too far to start being sensible now 😂 But if I could give anyone newer to lashlifting a little bit of advice, it would be not to feel like you need to buy every new shield that pops up on Instagram. Find a couple that give you a good range of options, get to know them inside out, learn what they can and can't do, and build from there. I wish someone had told me that before I became a full on Shield addict 😂 My Lash tech besties 😍 ❤️ What are your absolute ride-or-die shields? 🩵 Can anyone guess which by @kukubrows
I LOVE watching perfectly presented lash content as much as anyone, and I have so much respect for artists who can create beautiful, aesthetic Korean Lashlifts that seem to go perfectly from start to finish every single time, but if I'm being always be honest with you, for me, and I’d say for 99% of lash artists, it just doesn’t roll like that every time 👀😵‍💫 Ultimately, we're working with different lash types, different lash health, different skin types, eye shapes, sensitivities and twitchy, anxious, nervous clients, There is no one-size-fits-all. There is no perfect route from A to B every single time, but being able to troubleshoot, pivot and problem solve to continuously readjust to fit what we are being presented with in that moment, is the best tools we can put in our mental box 🙌 The gorgeous set-ups, beautiful content and viral reels are lovely and I am honestly the biggest fan, but in the last 14 years of teaching, I know that seeing the real stuff, the “this isn’t doing what I expected, so what am I going to do about it?” stuff has always been what people have needed to know because learning how to get yourself from a problem to the result you and your client want, safely and intentionally, is worth so much more than learning how to recreate somebody else’s perfect process ❤️🩵 by @kukubrows
3 techniques that will change your Lash Lifts forever ❤️🩵✨ ❤️ 1. DON’T BE SCARED TO GO BACK IN If you remove Step 1 and the lashes feel soft, but once you cleanse them you notice some are still bouncing back, don’t be scared to go back in with a second round of softening. The key is intentional placement ✨ Only place the product exactly where it’s needed. You are NOT overprocessing lashes that aren’t fully processed to begin with. You only risk overprocessing when you place product back onto lashes that are already fully “cooked” 👀 By targeting only the underprocessed areas, we’re simply bringing those lashes to the same level as the rest, giving you a much more even, uniform lift ❤️ 🩵 2. TINT OFF THE SHIELD. ALWAYS. I will die on this hill 😂🩵 I preach this over and over because, for me, it is the only way to make sure you’ve covered every single lash. Top to bottom. Root to tip. Even those tiny baby lashes ✨ I separate the lashes and tint in between every little lash to make sure nothing is missed. I promise, if you want full, even colour coverage… tint off the shield ❤️🩵 💛 3. DRY THE LASHES BEFORE YOU CONDITION This is a complete non-negotiable for me. Once you’ve removed all of the tint and thoroughly cleansed the lashes, dry them completely before adding your conditioning gloss. Why? 👀 Because conditioning products can make the lashes look glossy, smooth and beautifully curled… while hiding flaws underneath. And as a Lash Specialist, you NEED to see those flaws before your client leaves the salon. Some of the corrections I perform are on clients whose lashes looked amazing when they left their appointment because they were coated in conditioning product… …but once the lashes dried, they realised they were actually overprocessed. Drying the lashes properly allows you to see the true lift, check every area and correct anything that needs correcting before your client leaves ❤️✨ Teeny tiny changes, but much more intentional lifting and much more consistent results. 🩵❤️💛 Save this one for the next time you're lifting!✨ by @kukubrows

I couldn't believe the quality level of some of these flat shileds! 👀 skip to the end if you're just here to see the the most impressive thing the Nibovi has ever had in it! 🎊🔥 ❌️ One OG shield that I loved actually crumbled first (in just x2 runs through the Nibovi 👀) 😵‍💫 ❌️ The 3 sets of shields that survived the test (in no particular order) and that all still look and work the exact same as they did the second they were taken out of the packet are - 🥁🥁🥁🥁 The @hayali_beauty flat Flora shields £16.99 🎊 Wow they literally went through the machine 22 times in total and that does not include the times I have already used them on actual clients and cleaned them! These shileds are ultra ultra thin so I half expected them to crumble the first time I disinfected them but they literally look the same as the day I bought them! Unbelievable quality and yet perfectly super thin for sticking exactly to the eye contour! ✅️ The @labfactorpro flat easy shileds £6 🎊 Honestly, due to the price of these shields, I did not expect the quality that they are, they are robust enough to press against and yet thin enough to really stick to the eye lid and yet are literally only £6! I couldn't believe how well they survived 22 times in the Nibovi ultrasonic! They came put looking if anything, even better than when they went in! There was no stiffness and no damage at all! Literally every box ticked! ✅️ The @hayali_beauty OG Dolphin shileds (currently only £6.50) these were like they were made of titanium! They are robust and made of a much thicker material (designed specifically that way to allow for the pressing motion of a korean lashlift) than the others so I expected them to stand the test but still not as well as they actually did! Nothing was going to damage these bad boys! ✅️ Rurhie Belle Koreal flat shileds £7.50 ❌️ Now this I did not expect 👀 Firstly, I love these shields and have used them continuously with no issues over the last few years but these shileds can under NO circumstances go into an ultrasonic cleaner 👀❌️ They looked liked they'd been fried when they came out after just one go an by @kukubrows
It’s so crazy to look back now and think about how many times, over the years, I wondered if any of it was actually worth it. Building a business from scratch, doing far too many late nights, squeezing in one more client, missing things I deffo shouldn’t have missed, spending thousands on courses and putting every single penny I made straight back into the business. There were loads of times when I thought what if none of this actually matters? What if all this never really pays off? And now I realise I had “paying off” wrong. Because every late night, every extra client. Every bit of late night reaearch, every course, every missed lunch time, every bit of being more skint than I'd ever care to remember 😵‍💫 it all got me to right here, to having the blessings of working in a place that's a community, where noone dictates, and where i spend all day in the clothes that I want, being who I want, in the salon that I built, with the people that I love and doing the job that brings me so much joy, never dreading a drive to work and never feeling like I hate my my life on a Sunday - never missing an assembly and taking days off when I need, every little single bit of it all, got me to here and all those things mean more to me now than any version of “success” I used to imagine. There’s still hard work. There are still stressful days 🤪 and I’m definitely still skint AF 😂 But I wouldn't swap any of it for the world! 👀 ❤️🩵❤️🩵❤️🩵 by @kukubrows
