Let's check the answer to my last listening quiz😉✚
The answer is...

「みんな、もう質問はよそう。思い出したくないこずもあるだろ。」

みんなが䞻人公(しゅじんこう)にたくさん質問(し぀もん)をしお、䞻人公が悲しい(かなしい)過去(かこ)を思い(おもい)出し(だし)お぀らくなっおいるのを芋お(みお)、この男性(だんせい)はこう蚀い(いい)たした。
This man said this phrase because he saw the main character feel so bad from everyone’s questions which reminded him sad memories.

“〜するのはよそう” is a softer expression of “〜するのはやめよう”. It’s like “let’s not do ~”. This is casual form, and more polite way to say is “〜するのはよしたしょう”.
We can say “〜するのはやめおおこう” for casual way, “〜するのはやめおおきたしょう” for polite way also. This is more commonly used😉

「䟋文/For example」

☆授業䞭にお喋りするのはよそう。(jugy ōchū ni oshaberi surunowa yosou)
★Let’s not chat during class.

☆もうこの話はやめおおこう(mou kono hanashi wa yameteokou)
★Let’s not talk about this anymore.

Let's check the answer to my last listening quiz😉✚
The answer is...

👚🏻「なぜ今芋を食ぞ゙出した」
👩🏻「冷めおしたっおは、元も子もないのお゙。」

男性(だんせい)は教官(きょうかん)なのお゙、問い詰め(ずい぀め)る蚀い方(いいかた)をしおいたす。女性(じょせい)は蚓緎生(くんれんせい)なのお゙、「のお゙」ず䞁寧(おいねい)に答え(こたえ)おいたす。
The man, first speaker is a military instructor, so his way to speak is like Interrogation. The woman, second speaker is a trainee, so her way to respond is polite using “のお゙” end of the sentence.

元(もず)も子(こ)もない is one of the idioms. It means “defeats the purpose”, “makes no sense”. We use this phrase usually for losing everything due to being too greedy. In this quiz, the woman stole a potato, and joining the training. Then she thought she had to eat before the potato gets cold, otherwise it becomes meaningless. (She thought cold potato tastes bad)

「䟋文/For example」

☆頑匵りすぎお、病気になったら元も子もない。(ganbarisugite byouki ni nattara moto mo ko mo nai)
★If I become sick because of working too hard, it defeats the purpose.

☆テストのために倜遅くたお゙勉匷しお、寝坊したら元も子もない。(tesuto no tameni yoru osokumade benkyou site, nebou shitara moto mo ko mo nai)
★If I overslept because of studying very late night for exams, it makes no sense.

Let's check the answer to my last listening quiz😉✚
The answer is...

This is very casual sentence. It’s used between friends or families usually. Here “だから/dakara” is not reasons, so it’s not “because”. The speaker already told about something, and the listener asked about it again and again, then the speaker said “だから/dakara”, so it’s like “I told you”. This word usually describes frustration with the speaker.

Also we often use だから with “〜だっお(datte), 〜っお(tte),〜だっおば(datteba)" end of the sentences. In this situation, these also have “I already told you”, “You already know that” implication.

「䟋文/For example」

☆お母さん(okāsan):宿題したの(shukudai shitano)
子䟛(kodomo):したよ。(shita yo)
お母さん(20分埌/nijuppungo):宿題本圓にしたの(shukudai hontou ni shitano)
子䟛:したっお。(shitatte)
お母さん(1時間埌/ichijikango):本圓に本圓に宿題した(hontou ni hontou ni shukudai shita)
子䟛:だから、したっおば(dakara shitatteba)
★Mom:Did you finish your homework?
Kid:Yes I did.
Mom(20min later):Did you really finish your homework?
Kid:I said yes!!
Mom(1hour later):Are you really sure you finished your homework?
Kid: I told you, I did!!!!

☆👩🏻あなた、わたしのケヌキ食ぞ゙た(anata, watashi no kēki tabeta)
🧑🏻だから、食ぞ゙おないっお。(dakara, tabetenai tte)
★👩🏻Did you eat my cake?
🧑🏻I told you, I did not. by @kumi_nihongo

Let's check the answer to my last listening quiz😉✚
The answer is...

「巚人を1匹残らず駆逐しおやる」

As I said last time, this one is most famous phrase of Attack on Titan I think. However I have never heard 駆逐(くちく/kuchiku)する in daily life😂 It’s not useful words, but you can enjoy this phrase of Attack on Titan in Japanese without English subtitles from now on!👏🏻✚

1匹(いっぴき/ippiki) is one of the way to count in Japanese, it’s basically for animals, creatures. It’s like 1匹、2匹(にひき/nihiki)、3匹(さんびき/sanbiki)、4匹(よんひき/yonhiki)、5匹(ごひき/gohiki) and more.
We often use this phrase with different ways to count, like “1぀(ひず぀/hitotsu)残らず(のこらず/nokorazu)" for things, "1人(ひずり/hitori)残らず" for people", "䞀滎(いっおき/itteki)残らず" for something to drink.
"1匹残らず" means “1匹も残っお(のこっお/nokotte)いない”, “there is no one”, so it’s “all of them gone”.

「䟋文/For example」

☆圌女はひらがなを、䞀぀残らず芚えたした。(kanojo wa hiragana o hitotsu nokorazu oboemashita)
★She remembered all of hiragana.

☆先生は、クラスの生埒を1人残らず芋送りたした。(sensei wa kurasu no seito o hitori nokorazu miokuri mashita)
★The teacher saw every last person of students in her class off.

☆私は、矎味しいビヌルを䞀滎残らず飲み干したした。(watashi wa oishī bīru o itteki nokorazu nomihoshimashita)
★I drunk every last drop of delicious beer.

For no1, we use 〜しないずいけない often as a spoken word. And we use 〜しなければならない often as a written word. Also we use shortened one, 〜しないず as a spoken word.

☆あなたは、もっず勉匷しなければなりたせん。(anatawa motto benkyō shinakereba narimasen)
★You have study more.
