I thought and thought and thought if I should post this (only those who know this kind of love know why that might have been) but then I became selfish and said, "you're feeling extra sad today, so it's allowed." I do that with chocolate as well. by @kunjila

So happy to be part of this project as script supervisor - all favourite people, especially jeo baby. Thank you.

🎬 FAT CAT FINDS #01

ഗൃഹപ്രവേശം (Moving In) — directed by Kunjila.

A young woman moves into an apartment, but the rooms carry traces of the people who lived there before her. Grief, loneliness, desire, displacement and the quiet violence of exclusion gradually turn the apartment into a meeting point for lives that rarely get to occupy the centre of the frame.

What makes Moving In particularly compelling is Kunjila’s gaze towards people pushed to the margins. She doesn’t reduce them to symbols of oppression; she gives them contradictions, desires, dignity and a life beyond their marginalisation. It is a sensibility that echoes her work in the anthology Freedom Fight.

A quiet film about the places we inhabit—and the people who leave traces behind.
