Full (circle) February. ✨ About this same time last year I had a 9 hour layover in New York on a trip from Michigan to Manchester. (This was my first time in NY) I didn’t plan to go on a tour but I felt an itch to visit Times Square. I couldn’t figure my way around the subway because I didn’t have an American sim at the time and I wasn’t roaming. I decided to take an Uber which cost me almost $200 both ways. (I thought this was ridiculous cus I spent just about 20 minutes at Times Square and went back to the airport. I got to Times Square and almost got robbed because I assumed everyone was nice 😂 While I was there. I said a silent prayer to God to give any of my businesses (especially @1964.brand) a shot in the Big Apple beyond e-commerce sales (yes I’m always thinking about business even while doing a casual touristy thing 😩). At the time, I thought this was a long shot by the way because a few months later, 1964 had to go on a hiatus. Well God said hold my cup because a little over a year later, we had our debut private showroom event in New York as part of our relaunch and expansion plans into the US market 🎉🎉🎉 Now the real work begins and I can’t wait to see everything good God has planned 😬💃 Super grateful to my friendS turned family who were super helpful throughout this entire process.
