POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

⚡️There are only two weeks left to see Urs Lüthi’s exhibition at @kunsttempel_kassel and Galerie Coucou.⚡️

Life is probably the strangest thing that can happen to a human being. Viewed as a whole, a lifetime is both beautiful and frightening – at once familiar and self-evident, yet complex and unpredictable. When you stop to think about it, finding your way through it is something of a miracle.

Urs Lüthi’s art is quite another matter. He composes and conducts his works, groups of works, series and cycles like a symphony, weaving together and disentangling the central themes of art, sometimes bringing them into dialogue, sometimes pulling them apart. His work is as multilayered as life itself, yet marked by a clarity and precision that can be almost intimidating. For all its artistic excellence, his oeuvre is imbued with both tender sublimity and ambivalence. His attention often turns to doubt, failure and the many facets of human fallibility. Illness and death, too, recur throughout his work – subjects he approaches, more often than not, with humour.

Come and see “... Die Sehnsucht stirbt zuletzt ...” at Galerie Coucou and Kunsttempel until 25 October 2026.

Opening hours
Wed–Fri & Sun, 4–7 pm

Der Roman erzählt, was hinter verschlossenen Türen geschah.

Mit freundlicher Unterstützung des Hessisches Ministeriums für Wissenschaft und Forschung, Kunst und Kultur, der Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Hessen-Thüringen sowie hr2-kultur. thanks everybody for coming to our duo show "relationship between the inefficient earth and its efficient workforce" with @fraukerohenkohl at @kunsttempel_kassel 🙏🏼

it was a pleasure 💚
i also had the possibility to show some older work; a walking sim within the 3D reconstructed zoo of Rotterdam realized at @minus1nieuweinstituut in combination with my sculptural series "please don't water me I'm artificial (1)"; a combination that made sense after visiting the botanical garden Kassel and seeing it's miniature greenhouse for succulents and carnivorous plants 👀🧩

mille mercis surtout à Carola Ruf + @fraukerohenkohl , @krastev_milen , @mi.goebel , @svenja____schmidt , @defne_kzlz et @hugo_conradi 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 taken in Documenta Stadt Kassel by @kunsttempel_kassel
