Tom A. Smith

We’ve been working with Tom for a lot of years but he hadn’t made an appearance at the festival since all the way back in 2022. In the time since then he’s built up a lot of momentum and we felt the time was just right for him to take up a headline slot this year.

We knew we were in for a good one but what we didn’t know until the very last minute was he’d be bringing @finnforstermusic along with him - one of the all time great TGS memories seeing two of the North-East’s future stars up on stage together and a very welcome surprise 🤝

The best is yet to come from the Sunderland sensation, until next time @tomasmithmusic ❤️

Absolutely buzzing to once again be involved with Independent Venue Week this January 🙌

overpass

Our first booking of the festival is always the big one and this might just have been our most anticipated headliner yet. Sometimes you just know when you’ve got the right act and over the summer we watched them explode as they crept towards releasing their debut album and by the time it dropped we just knew we were in for a really special set.

This was a pretty meaningful headliner for us at TGS. We’ve partnered with @thisfeelinghq on the festival for a lot of years now and seeing a band go from the middle of their lineup in 2022 to a stage headliner in 2024 and finally a festival headliner in 2026 is what that partnership is all about and a journey complete that we hope more acts can follow in years to come.

So thanks to @overpass.band for the memories and congrats on all the success so far and still to come 🩵

📸 Michael Gallagher - 29/8/26

@mickyygall joined us as a special guest for a sold out We Are Scientists recently and as always it was a pleasure to have him back 🤝

It was not long after the release of his new EP ‘Soul Food’ and the new tunes are sounding very good indeed 🥫

📸 We Are Scientists - 29/8/26

Realised we’ve been sat on some pics from a few events recently. Here’s @wearescientists doing their thing at a sold out KU from back in August.

Absolute pleasure to have these guys back in town. They’ve got a well-earned rep for being one of the nicest bands in the business and they put on a hell of a live show to match!

20 years on since that iconic debut album and still at the top of their game 🫡

Very happy to announce we’ll be joined by @montello.band for our show with @stanleysband at the end of the November 🙌

You might remember them coming to the rescue at @stocktoncalling earlier in the year with a second set of the day when another act dropped out and it’s very nice to have them back 🤝

Are you coming to Stockton Calling 2027? Or
🗣️ WOULD YOU RATHER BE LONELY

Festival Headliners Announced
Red Rum Club 🍻 Adult DVD

It brings us great joy to let you know that Stockton Calling has announced its first two headliners for 2027. Red Rum Club will headline at ARC Stockton as festival headliners and Adult DVD will headline over at The Georgian Theatre.

Both bands are no strangers to Stockton, having played here plenty of times over the years, and they’ve gone from strength to strength since, with both now touring all over the world.

Basht.

In an alternate reality you might have been watching these guys at our 2025 festival but sometimes you just can’t make it work. Fortunately when it came to booking acts for this year they were one of the first names on our list and we had the perfect spot for them as our KU stage closer 💥

Worth every second of the wait, not a set we’ll be forgetting anytime soon and not hard to see what all the hype is about 🔥

With a new album on the horizon and sold out dates up and down the country to end the year it feels like the beginning of something very special for the Irish talent factory’s latest big export, keep an eye on these guys 👀
