Edward Elric Cosplay WIP series: Automail process breakdown 🦾As usual, I started by meticulously analyzing reference images from both the manga and anime artbooks. I also studied other people’s 3D models and attachment solutions before I started working on my automail. My goal was to create parts that would fit my measurements while staying as true to the original design as possible without compromising functionality or wearability.All of my models were created in Maya and ZBrush and printed using cf PLA for the larger pieces, and resin for the fingers and fasteners. In total, it took me about 2.5 months to complete the modeling, test prints, adjustments, and final prints ⚙️ by @kur0ru

Magicon x Gintama post!If you’re following me or @kur0ru , you’ve probably seen us working on our Gintama cosplays. The idea came about when @theriz_cosplay (congrats to you & @saharasara_cosplay & best of luck in Hiroshima!) told us about the duo competition last summer, and since it had been years since the last time we competed as a team of two, and we’d never been to Norway, it was decided that we’d give it a go!Well, surprisingly enough, we ended up qualifying for GICOF - the competition we’d been gunning for from the get-go 😭❤️I’m still shocked that we won, considering the insanely high level of competition. Everyone was so beautiful and talented, omg! But putting my imposter syndrome aside, I’m also very proud of our team for pushing through while working and studying full-time.Many thanks to the amazing organizers of @magicon_norway for hosting the selection, and especially to @alvi_a_ for being the best cosplay manager and backstage madness handler. As first-timers at Magicon, we felt very welcome 🙏 Me as Sakata Gintoki Kuroru as Kagura by @kur0ru

When con plans don’t work out as intended… but somehow turn out even better! ✨This past weekend @keksballscosplay and I braved the weather and attended Kodachicon as Roy and Ed, but with a twist! Since it was raining on and off all day, wearing a red wool coat was definitely not the best idea 😅 Thankfully, Keksballs convinced me to switch into Amestris uniform we actually bought for our friend~@kristofferraneflod snapped some amazing photos of us, and honestly, this is one of those rare moments where the default convention background worked perfectly with the outfits ☔Roy Mustang: @keksballscosplay Me as Edward Elric by @kur0ru
