often i get messages abt motivation. “how do you stay motivated”? and the honest answer is i dont feel motivated all the time. i see things that discourage me all the time. i see things that hurt my feelings weekly. but the reality is that i also see things that encourage me, like your comments or messages about how much you love what i do. i wish i could tell you the positivity overshadows the negative all the time, but im human. no one likes to hear even slightly mean things abt something you’ve worked tirelessly on for 3 yrs. or for someone to assume your character based off what you do or don’t write about. i’m motivated by caring so deeply abt the characters that i can’t stop. hearing abt how important these characters have become to you is more important than any engagement i get (or don’t). and giving them the ending they deserve is even more important than that. i’m tired and sad a lot. but i’m motivated by the need to let my characters learn to be honest to you and themselves. whatever that looks like. by @kureha3d
