Today, October 24th, is a really great day! There are many cool people who love this day, and today is the birthday of many great people. But two people rise to the top in my world: Andrew Beffel and Christianne Barger, who were both born today, just six minutes apart! Twins like no others. Andrew, I hope you have a wonderful celebration with your friends in the North, your partner, and your cats! Happy Birthday! Christianne, without this day, I would never have known the love you have for dance, the arts, and performers of all varieties. You are detailed, quick, organized, intelligent, fierce, creative, and a born leader! I love you, and I'm in awe that I get to spend my time with you and our wonderful family. Happy 11th Anniversary to my wife, My Tiger Lily! I know we face challenges daily, even some today perhaps, but that doesn’t change how I felt 11 years ago. If anything, I am made better with each passing decision we make together. Some have been game changers, and I think that two are particularly memorable! Who out there knows Kyle Barger?

If you know him, you know that he is a loyal friend, a very charismatic conversationalist, a business owner, outdoor enthusiast, very knowledgeable about many things, and caring human.
If you don’t know him personally, then let me tell you, he is really all of those things and more. Kyle is also a loving father and a generous soul. He is also my brother, and it’s his Birthday!

There is a picture I wish I could share of Kyle and myself outside on a fire escape of a NY apartment building. I think that picture is a perfect representation of our inner selves. Jonathan Kemp took the picture that will forever be ingrained in my memory! Instead you get another picture, and a description of the one I would share if I had it.

Today, we celebrate. Today we reflect on the way those in our lives that are Mothers have shaped and changed our lives in ways unimaginable!

Happy Mothers Day!

Christianne Barger is a wonderful example of what it means to be a Mother. She loves her family, she works tirelessly (even when she is exhausted), she considers and accounts for so much, and she does it all like so many of us do without a template or map that shows the “right” path. I am awed by her willingness to support us all! You deserve this day Christianne, and I hope we get to help you enjoy it!
