𝑀𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓇𝒾𝒶𝓁 𝒢𝒾𝓇𝓁
*(in times of war)

**is a collection of interviews and portraits of young Ukrainian women who had to leave their home country because of the russian full-scale invasion. The project delves into the topic of material memory, asking participants questions about objects they took with them during evacuation and those they left behind, as well as the reasoning and feelings behind them. Through these personal narratives, the zine offers an intimate glimpse into each individual's journey, simultaneously aestheticizing the stories through the pink-tinted glasses of the observer and breaking the romanticization with the honest photo-textual materials.

In a world where war experiences have entered everyday reality, they might just as well be considered a part of the modern pop culture.
