Did you know art education goes beyond the traditional classroom? 🎨

Through KU’s Art in Alternative Settings program, students explore how art can inspire creativity, build connections and make a difference in communities, museums and healthcare settings.

Meet Hope Behringer, who’s putting her education into practice through an internship with EverTrue at The Lutheran Home at Topton, using art to connect with residents and encourage creativity at every age. Two-photo collage titled “Art in Alternative Settings.” Top: a young woman leads an art activity at a table while several older adults stand and sit around her. Bottom: close-up of her hand using a paintbrush on paper beside watercolor supplies. by @kutztownu
