Migrant Birds turns one ☝🏽

One year ago, since we took our first flight, a year of discoveries, unforgettable nights, inspiring artists, and moments of listening, sharing, and celebrating together.

For this anniversary edition, we’re back where we started, with a carefully curated program: one live performance, one sick DJ lineup. From nostalgic gems to fresh discoveries, the music crosses borders, always rooted in connection, celebration, and the joy of dancing together.

Meet the birds:

ོ @kvadosh [Athens, GR] Producer/DJ blending folkloric elements with contemporary club frameworks, experimental club, Latin dancehall, post-apocalyptic electronics, and Mediterranean undertones.

ོ @gatoe.monte LIVE [Bogotá, CO] Gustavo Casallas blends Andes and Llanos sounds with city life, rooted in Bosa. Led by his self-made chiflamero, his music tells stories of migration, football, family, and resilience.

ོ @marwanha & @rabea.sliman Hybrid Set [Palestine] Migrant Birds founders Marwan (DJ) and Rabea (vocalist) blend percussive grooves from North Africa, West Asia, and Latin America with traditional and abstract vocals.

ོ @urubumarinka [Salvador da Bahia, BR] aka Marina Sarno l, Afro-Brazilian rhythms meet Voodoohop’s experimental spirit, weaving tropical grooves, folklore, dub, and hypnotic downtempo.

ོ @ahmadshikk [Latakia, SY] Berlin-based curator and Refuge Worldwide resident, co-founder of Istanbul Root Radio. Sets traverse psychedelic rock, dub, reggae, and jazz.

Meet @kvadosh

We’re thrilled to host the Berlin debut of Athens’s own prodigy of blending and producing waist breakers from the Balkan, SWANA and Latin American realm.

Kvadosh is a Greek producer and DJ navigating diverse sonic terrains. Her releases span between labels in North Africa and the Balkans, various compilations, edits and remixes - mastering all these cultural influences in unique club music compositions.
Her sets are equally diverse, starting from her residency at @stegiradio where she regularly showcases deep digs from Latin America to her features on @rinse.fm and LOL radio in Italy.

She has performed across a range of events in Greece, from underground club nights and experimental gatherings to larger festivals, with notable appearances such as the Nature Loves Courage Festival in Sougia, Crete (June 2025) and Stegi Radio’s Takeover Festival in Athens(February 2026) and a recent debut in Skopje 🇲🇰 with our friends from @babybeefcrew by @kvadosh
