“End of Summer” ☀️🥹 – my first short film, inspired by a spontaneous trip to Lake Perris with good friends. When summer’s coming to an end, we make the most of every moment. From a young age, I’ve always been involved in the entertainment/film/creative world—starting in background acting & commercials in LA to PA work, photo assisting, and photography. Now, I’m excited to explore the world of video a bit more and see where this creative journey takes me. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at filmmaking but never felt qualified or confident enough to start. And while this film is far from perfect (need to work on my color grading 😵‍💫), I’m very proud of this little film. 🤍 This project was one of those moments where I just said, “fuck it, let’s give it a shot!” No planning, no shot list, just my brain and some help. 🤓🙂‍↕️ Sometimes, you don’t need to have all the skills or be an expert in every tool—you just have to go for it. A huge thank you to Benny and Carlos for their support, encouragement, and for starring in this mini film. happy pride 4ever baby kev & every queer person out there ❤️ i had the idea to make this little scrapbook after looking through old family photos at home. this isn’t a coming out post LOL, anyone who follows me knows I’m a lil gay boi. though, I have been thinking about sharing that part of my story. It’s a long one hahaha, so I’ll save it for another time. the words from my parents aren’t quoted word for word. they’re how I remember them, spoken during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life, and forever engraved in my heart. my relationship with myself wasn’t (and still isn’t) easy at alllll. my relationship with my parents isn’t perfect either. it’s taken years of work, hard conversations, therapy, & is still an ongoing process. i love my parents more than anything though, los kiero mucho mami y papi, gracias por su amor y vida ❤️ I know what a privilege it is to have parents who met me with love and acceptance. I also know that isn’t everyone’s story. If you’re reading this and haven’t come out yet, you’re still figuring yourself out, or your relationship with your family is complicated, I’m sending you so much love. You deserve love, respect, safety, and to exist exactly as you are. 💛🫂 i love being myself, & u should too! pride month may be ending, but we’re here forever. Happy Pride.
