Happy birthday to my better half ❤️ I am so beyond grateful for your existence and your love, because it just proves that the love I’ve always wished IS real. To my 21/22 year old/2016 self:
Everything in your life is about to change. It sounds cliché, but it’s true. Everything, and I really do mean EVERYTHING, changes. There are about to be so many core memories made - but also so much trauma and abuse that you will endure and not even realize until it’s all over. It’s beautiful, it’s tragic, it’s unsurprising given how our life is always a wildcard. For all the highs, the lows are even worse. So I’m sorry for all that you’re about to have to endure and overcome… but if I had to do it all again… I would do it all the same tbh. Somehow we are exactly where we have always wanted. Our entire sense of self gets ripped away from us, we are chopped down into tiny bits until we are no longer who we are at the core… but now? Our sense of self is unbreakable. We put back the pieces together and are the most “me” we have ever been!! We changed so much, but also got to experience so much! I don’t think I’d be who I am today without all I’ve been through. So as much as it’s gonna suck, I promise everything is worth it. Don’t end it like you planned on so many different times, just keep going. It’s worth it, and it’s so beautiful now. by @kvtsune
