Had the opportunity to try out the Stagg pour-over dripper by @fellowproducts for myself, and it was very nice.

Super durable stainless steel, with nice texture and tactility on the finish. The filters are tiny, but with some pulsing and a steady-ish hand, well worth the effort.

The beans are one of the bags from @3fecoffee I brought back with me. These were a naturally processed Ethiosar from Alejandro Martinez in El Salvador. Black berry, Almond, honey, caramel, red apple, and some chocolate on finish. The ratio was 16:1, just over three minutes. I’m not great at brewing and documenting, but I did pulse after bloom in more spurts per @jamison_pinkert recommendation. This was in the Fellow ecosystem, I brewed into a Carter Move thermos that I’ve had for a while and love. It was kind of an afterthought on my part, I should’ve presumed that they’d fit/work together. Anyway, highly recommend.

These work well together, I look forward to trying other coffees on the Stagg in the future!

Signage of the over-hyped Truck Stop looms in the distance. “We’re nowhere near Texas” he says to himself, “but the car could use some gas. And the bathrooms are supposedly the cleanest.” The temptation to take the exit is strong. Four lanes will have to be hastily crossed, without properly maintaining a single one.
With the turn-signal engaged, and grip tightened on the wheel, complete focus has been redirected to make this improvised decision. The engine accelerates as he declares “It’s busss-cee time” and the wheel is cut hard the right. Let’s hope the white-labeled Albanese gummy bears are worth it.
