Horse Girl And Space Cat. Oil on canvas, 2026 60x80cm When space cats, mountain kitties, wooden horses and tourists come together in the wild, am I dreaming or do I witness? The image is a sensual journey through Japan, which I depict by collaging this fever dream in strong colors and contrasts, with a delicate use of blur and gradient. I am very thankful for this journey, especially for @kenji_yanobe and his space cats, that caught my body and mind, with asking the deepest questions and opening up a whole new level of inspiration. 🧡🙏🏼🩷 by @kw_softcake
Hold Me Tight, I Want To Fly. Oil on canvas, 2026 100×70 cm A place is defined by its boundaries. A body is in a place, because it moves within certain boundaries. A mind can be everywhere at once. Where and who am I? Where and who do I want to be? In search of the boundary between soma and psyche, inside and outside, autonomy and external control, reality and fantasy, the dimensions multiply. Can I anchor and fly at the same time? by @kw_softcake

SISTERS AND BORDERS. We will be part of @48stundennk again this weekend! In a multidisciplinary group exhibition we explore our personal borders. Mediums: photography, painting, design, ceramics. Join us for day ☀️ and night 🍸 on Saturday 4th of July - and Sunday daytime. Starting 1pm Sat. Sun 12-6pm. Featuring @gold_hanna @kristinawedel @bedspace @esthervonschultz @ellaray.design Borders — experienced, established, crossed. This exhibition explores such from a flinta perspective. On a collective level, we ask: How do we protect, assert, and empower one another? On a personal level, we ask: How do we shape an identity, a self-image? Where do we as selves end, and where does the world begin? We must set boundaries: for our safety, our self-discovery, and our integrity. Which boundaries must we break through in order to be free?
"Hide And Seek" by Kristina Wedel. Kristina Wedel's work is driven by a fascination with the combination of timeless banalities and a dreamlike inner state of perception. A strong intimacy between body, space, and object is reinforced through the sensual use of color and light, as well as contrasts between sharpness and blur. Kristina has been working as a freelance illustrator and art director in Berlin for the past 13 years, co-founding the female design collective The Boys Club in 2018. Art has always played an important role in her life, but several years ago she found her true calling in oil painting, through which she is able to express her inner world. Frau am Rande des Nervenzusammenbruchs / woman on the verge to a nervous break down, 2025 Oil on canvas 50x70 cm Portrait of my mother, at young age, inspired by an old photograph of her. There was this moment in one of my favorite Almodovar movies „women on the verge of a nervous breakdown“ I realized movie and painting are coincidentally not only visually in quite one world in their very surreal context, but simply this would be the perfect title for this painting. 🧡💜❤️ I feel so close to the edge very often myself. Thanks to @atelier_dunarolando for the best support! #contemporaryartist #oilpainting #surrealist #contemparyart #oilpaintingartist #almodovar #femaleartist by @kw_softcake
