August LBC to SD century is back folks. This year, I plan to stay overnight, taking Amtrak on Sunday back to LA, and then metro train back to Long Beach.
There will be riders turning around in San Onofre before the I-5 section, and perhaps before then as well.
Here’s the fixed stops along the way:
Mile 15 - quick HB Pier regroup 2min
Mile 28 - Trader Joe’s Crystal Cove 15 min
Mile 53 - San onofre bathrooms & water
I-5 exit Oceanside IN-N-OUT lunch 45min
Mile 72 Del Mar dog beach (bathroom &water)
Ending at Santa Fe Depot Amtrak station

There will be at least 2 pace groups, spicy and intermediate.
- @nicogauthierpin will be leading intermediate group. This will still be a challenge if you’re new to endurance rides, but not a tempo or “spicy” pace .
-@kween_jaylene (myself) will be leading spicy pace.
-some riders are turning around at Newport stop, or at San onofre, heading back to Long Beach.

Bring lights, tubes, pump, patch kit, charging items, and at least 1,500cal.
We will be entering the I-5 together, don’t leave anyone behind, it’s no more than 9mi.

It’s bean a while, let’s gather for good times and good food! Join us for pupusas, beer, and sunset this Saturday. Bring a jacket for later, a 24pk of beer and a joint. Let’s shake off the stress with some dancing at sunset afterwards!

Saturday the 16th, I’ll be celebrating my 32nd revolution around the sun. My actual birthday is on Tuesday the 19th. This is a Filipino Feast, so please bring a Filipino or Pacific Islander dish, side, or dessert, along with a cooler (if needed) and a blanket or chair to sit on. Main feast will start between 2:30 and 3pm.

@gemmaebakeshop is a nearby Long Beach Filipino restaurant that sells trays of food.

After the food, there will be party games, dancing, followed by special performances in the evening. taken in Valparaiso Plaza Long Beach by @vfixll_lbc

This Friday, “Forks & Wheels” Presents pizza at Trademark! First, much thanks to @wesley442 for the info on this pop-up!
Come watch golden hour at the bluff after work and then join us for a chill ride to get pizza and beer. Route will take us to Colorado lagoon, the beach path, rainbow lagoon, and then up pine to trademark on Anaheim Blvd.

Please bring lights, funds, and good times.
Friendly reminder this ride is inclusive of all women, queer folks, and BIPOC.

This Saturday, April 5th, Forks & Wheels rolls to check out the newly paved roads at El Dorado. After a loop around Eldo, we are going to stop by Appu’s Turmeric cafe and a community favorite, @simones.donuts. Appu’s cafe has vegan options and there’s a liquor store nearby; there’s something for everyone!
No bike locks needed, but bring your own tools, pump, inner tubes, helmet and money.

We are all adults and everyone attending rides at their own risk.
