You don’t have to be first to win!

Come join the party at Bixby park (junipero and ocean) for this Spooky Alley Cat Race! Whether you come to hang, cheer on your friends, show off your costume, or win some prizes, we have something for you. I, @kween_jaylene, plan to wear a costume that night as well.

I’m opening this ride up to beginners by adding 1 points based winner. You do not have to finish or find everything to win this category. Points will be based on how many checkpoints you reach, items you acquire on the bonus scavenger hunt, and safety wear like helmets and lights 👀. Furthermore, there will be a cash egg to find, and any race participant may redeem it. Actual cash will not be inside, must be redeemed. If you read this far, you may want to bring a bag or have jersey pockets 😉.

Special shoutout to @klaka_klaka_reclaim for making wallets for the 1st place winners, and keychain reflectors for 2nd and 3rd places.

If you have any donations or items for raffle or place winners, please send a message by Friday.

It’s been a while since I’ve hosted, let’s get #brekkieburritos at a long standing family owned restaurant. This place hasn’t raised the prices too much and have kept the portions over the years. There’s outdoor seating, veggie options, and mostly bike paths there and back.

Rides to check out:
@twowheels.onelove (mondays)
@moonlightmashlongbeach
@lbcannonballrun (some Tuesdays)
@vfixll_lbc (Wed)
@gfunklb (most Thursdays)

@bestiassalvajes_lbc (once a month)

Make sure safety is a part of your costume by wearing a helmet, having all your bike lights, and being mindful of materials that can get caught in your wheels.

Time: Meet at 730pm
Ready to Roll at 8:00pm!!!

August LBC to SD century is back folks. This year, I plan to stay overnight, taking Amtrak on Sunday back to LA, and then metro train back to Long Beach.
There will be riders turning around in San Onofre before the I-5 section, and perhaps before then as well.
Here’s the fixed stops along the way:
Mile 15 - quick HB Pier regroup 2min
Mile 28 - Trader Joe’s Crystal Cove 15 min
Mile 53 - San onofre bathrooms & water
I-5 exit Oceanside IN-N-OUT lunch 45min
Mile 72 Del Mar dog beach (bathroom &water)
Ending at Santa Fe Depot Amtrak station

There will be at least 2 pace groups, spicy and intermediate.
- @nicogauthierpin will be leading intermediate group. This will still be a challenge if you’re new to endurance rides, but not a tempo or “spicy” pace .
-@kween_jaylene (myself) will be leading spicy pace.
-some riders are turning around at Newport stop, or at San onofre, heading back to Long Beach.

Bring lights, tubes, pump, patch kit, charging items, and at least 1,500cal.
We will be entering the I-5 together, don’t leave anyone behind, it’s no more than 9mi.
Message me (@kween_jaylene) for staying overnight planning & details.
⚠️ For bail out plan, theres an OCTA the #1 bus that runs from Long Beach 7th/ channel to San Clemente Burger King. ⚠️
