Assessment: under-socialized during these long work stretches. Plan: social media 😝

The last 4 years of my life have definitely not gone as planned, and I really underestimated the isolation from working crazy hours for prolonged stretches in a rural town, but there's comfort in unpredictability and not knowing what's coming next.... although I really only appreciate it when they are good surprises 😝

I had uni for the first time 4 years ago and now it's my favorite! They used to sell it on the beach in Hog Island in Grenada and I was always too skeptical to try it, but now I really regret never having it!

I never thought I'd get to sleep in my childhood home again, but feel overwhelmingly privileged to have that opportunity! My heart goes out to the people around the world who have had their homes and neighborhoods destroyed where this can only exist in their memories! What a heavy memory they must carry.

Won't say too many details, but this little twig is a 20 year old dream realized. There's a plant nearby that is struggling and a result from the same dream, so hoping it pulls through!

I never thought I'd have the option of taking a tiny government-subsidized plane in and out of where I live!

I've been getting to know Mexico more and more every month and love it more each time I visit! I never thought I'd spend so much time in Mexico, but am so glad life let this happen! by @kwic13

Gracias a todos quien vinieron para celebrar el cumpleaños con una princesa silvestre! 💅 Me hicieron sentir tan especial y no podía mejorar el fin de semana MUY corto en Valle de Guadalupe! La única arrepentimiento que tengo es nadie nadie lloró el último día 😡 Sin embargo, es algo que perdonar y no puedo esperar hasta que nos vemos en Vallarta! 😍 Gracias a todos! Baja California is probably one of my favorite places on the planet. There are hundreds of miles of empty roads through otherworldly scenery with secluded beaches, forests that look like they came out of a Dr. Seuss book, and varied topography! They also have more species of whales than anywhere else on the planet! Here are photos from a quick impromptu road trip I did last week! by @kwic13

This was Gaza yesterday. What kind of sick sadistic society bombs refugees in tents? There was never a ceasefire. This level of cruelty happens EVERY DAY in Gaza and we are the ones financing it. Imagine thinking it's acceptable to vote for genocide so you can go to brunch. Democrats had an opportunity to end this all and voluntarily chose not to. I have lost total trust in those genocidal monsters. NOBODY gets a "free pass" to support genocide. EVER. by @kwic13

Finally completing my last day of work in 2025 and reflecting on the last year and still in disbelief that this is the year I finally got to see Pseudophoenix ekmanii in habitat (albeit with the most homophobic person I've ever had the pleasure of spending a long amount of time with 😂), got to surprise my parents in Geneva with immense help from my sister, had a VERY encouraging friend convince me to go scuba diving without an instructor at night for the first time (and we also went on our first consensual helicopter ride together😍), finally got to Eiffel Tower in front of the Eiffel Tower😝, got to meet my cousin for the first time (only took 36 years!), got to show a plant friend the botanical beauty of Hawaii🌴, skydive, got up close and personal with manta rays (one hit me!) and gray whales, swim with sharks, and so so so much more..... plus an insane amount of work! Also, I liked this selfie and wanted an excuse to post it 😝 by @kwic13

If we can't agree on the word genocide, can we at least agree that it is the collective punishment of 100% of a population in which every life is currently in danger either from bombardment, disease, or intentional starvation, as well as the intentional creation of inhospitable conditions for millions of innocent civilians who have lost their right to self determination, ability to live and die with dignity, ability to safely procreate, all while having their entire legacy and culture systematically erased off the face of the earth via bombings of their healthcare system, educational centers, religious centers, areas of cultural significance, and census data, with entire family lineages slaughtered, with no current indication for the violence to stop until Gaza is erased off of the map? by @kwic13

Anne Frank had to hide in an attic in Amsterdam while the Nazis carried out their genocide of Jewish people, homosexuals, gypsies, people of color, and homeless in WW2. It's because of what I learned from The Holocaust that I am so vocal about the genocide we are funding today. I ignorantly just assumed all of us were equally affected by the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany and could recognize how propaganda, media, and hatred could make ordinary human beings do the most extraordinarily evil actions. We aren't immune to the lessons of history if we continue to ignore them. The majority of people I know have displayed that they would never have hidden Jewish people seeking help in their homes because you have all shown me that you would rather choose silence and complicity during genocide instead of even speaking out against it.
