I got emotional watching this. Not just because of our sons, but because this video represents so much more. This is one of my favorite songs - been singing the traditional version since I was young. I learned it as a child watching some of my favorite soloists belt out the simple yet life-changing message.

The other reason why this video means so much is that the young people singing in this video represent generations of families that Toussaint and I have had the blessing of connecting with over the years. There are young people in this choir that we have known since they were young babies, some of them even in the womb. There are also young people we may not have known personally, but their parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles have poured into our lives. And now that I’m teaching at OU, I even have students in this video. The funny thing is, our sons don’t know many of these older individuals personally. Yet, here we are, watching God connect families in real time and demonstrate His love to the next generation. So proud of all of them. Praying that they will continue to use their gifts to bless the world and that God will continue to use their lives to impact generations to come.

I visited Hawaii for the first time ever last month. It was an unexpected treat. Absolutely stunning! Tbh, I spent this year fearing the summer months. As an educational entrepreneur, the summer is when business dies down. But God tucked so many surprises into this summer and I am grateful. 💕

@kwill2003 and I are excited to announce that Uriah is going to college a year early! Everything happened so fast, but we see God‘s hand and open doors in the entire journey. This summer he worked hard to complete requirements to finish while also volunteering as an assistant coach on his high school’s JV basketball team and completing a three-week summer intensive at Loma Linda University in CA. Uriah will enter college with one of the highest scholarships and 16 college credit hours! We are so proud of our young king and want to make sure that we celebrate his achievements publicly. Since time will not allow for a formal graduation ceremony and dinner, please help us to love on Uriah virtually. His cash app is $UWILLIAMS22.

I joke with him a lot, but watching @dj_88keys lead has been incredible. He has a leadership gift that’s already exceptional, and I believe he’s just getting started.

More importantly, he’s a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man of God. Those titles matter most.

I’m proud of the man he’s becoming, and I can’t wait to see how God continues to use him to expand His kingdom.

A birthday reflection... three special moments sum up the year best.

The first one was exactly a year ago on my birthday. I was cruising with my sister Tonya and while we sat in the dining hall we looked out the window and saw dolphins jumping out the water. They were living their best life... in hindsight, I think the moment was prophetic.

The next clip shows the result of a silly prayer that God answered. I really wanted to see a bear in the wild. So we took a trip just to find a bear. We spent a whole day in the mountains on a drivable trail known for bear activity but the closest I got to seeing a bear was watching one walking away in the trees. I wasn’t satisfied and prayed to really see a bear before we left to go home. And well God answered... while sitting and eating lunch, a bear walked out of the woods to drink from a creek behind the restaurant. Best moment ever. It speaks to how God cares for the simplest desires of our hearts.

The last pic represents a million dreams and what I see God doing in my life. He’s opening doors in unexpected ways and if I shared what is going on behind the scenes... just know I’m not standing in my own strength. “Radiant Resilience”... I did not come up with this title but it perfectly describes my word or phrase for the year. A statement that confirms the Bible promise that God will BLESS you, KEEP you and cause His face to SHINE upon you (Numbers 6:24-26). I am a witness to this truth. And to think, God had to take me halfway across the world to give a glimpse of what is still in me.

So basically, I’m living my best life. God is answering the simplest desires of my heart. Day by day, He’s reminding me what is still in me. And I’m grateful. 💕 by @kwill2003

I could hand you a folder full of rejection letters for submissions - books, articles, songs. So for me, every yes counts as a win. So far this month, I have had three articles published. One was expected, the other two a surprise. All three were developed several years ago and submitted at various times. They speak to the hustle, the wait, the reimagining of creative work. If you can relate, this is just your reminder to keep pressing forward.

Feeling grateful and blessed... and starting a new project this week.
