這三本書到底是誰想出來的？💀😂

最近逛文具店，意外發現了三本無聊卻莫名有趣的小冊子！

一本讓你用黑色幽默的方式發洩情緒，一本讓你在不想面對現實的時候暫時逃避一下，還有一本專門讓你從各種微不足道的小事中獲得成就感。

雖然內容都有點無厘頭，但仔細想想，其實還挺有意思的。尤其是最後一本，提醒了我生活不一定要完成什麼大事，才值得給自己一點肯定。🥹

有時候，無聊的小東西反而最能讓人會心一笑。

I recently stumbled upon these three weird little books at a stationery store, and they’re so random but oddly entertaining!

One lets you vent your frustrations through dark humor, another gives you an excuse to escape reality, and the last one reminds you that even the tiniest things can count as accomplishments.

They‘re all a little ridiculous, but I actually love the ideas behind them. Especially the last one, because you don’t always have to achieve something big to feel proud of yourself. 🥹

Sometimes, it‘s the silly little things that make us smile.

$68 門票究竟能試食哪些奇葩東西？🤢

從展區裡各種來自世界各地的奇特美食，到親自聞香（有些味道真的有點難駕馭…），最後還挑戰了幾款超衝擊的奇葩食材......

其實「嘔心」這回事真的很有趣，完全取決於文化背景。某些我們從小吃到大的美食，在其他人眼中可能也是震撼級別的奇葩存在（笑）。

What crazy foods can you actually taste with a $68 ticket? 🤢
From exploring bizarre delicacies from around the world to sniffing some seriously intense scents (a few were honestly pretty hard to handle...), I even ended up tasting a few ultra-shocking ingredients......

It really makes you realize how “disgusting” is all about cultural context. Something we grew up eating every day could be a total jaw-dropper to someone else (lol).

今個月初去了 The Regional Assembly of Text 參加每月一次的 Letter Writing Club。

在這個甚麼都可以即時傳訊息的年代，坐下來用打字機慢慢寫一封信，感覺很 old-school，但又很浪漫。

活動免費參加，不過不設預約，先到先得。每次聚會分成兩個時段，每場約 18 個名額，總共只有 36 個名額，所以建議大家提早到場排隊。

Letter Writing Club 會在每個月第一個星期四舉行，下次聚會是 10 月 1 日。

Earlier this month, I went to The Regional Assembly of Text for their monthly Letter Writing Club.

In a time where everything can be sent instantly, sitting down and writing a letter on a typewriter felt so old-school, but also kind of romantic.

The event is free, but there are no reservations. Each gathering has two sessions, with around 18 spots per session and 36 spots in total, so I’d recommend arriving early.

Letter Writing Club usually happens on the first Thursday of every month. The next gathering will be on October 1.

為了看舒華飛了一趟多倫多，也因為《幸福快樂的日子》重新想了一次「幸福」到底是什麼。🥹

很喜歡舒華說的：「不要刻意追尋所謂的快樂和幸福，好好體驗當下，享受這一瞬間。」

有時候我們總覺得幸福是要努力追到的東西，但可能能夠好好活在這一刻，本身就已經是一種幸福。

很開心可以在 TIFF 提前看到這部作品，也終於見到舒華本人了😭🤍

期待《幸福快樂的日子》正式和大家見面的那一天！

Flew to Toronto for Shuhua, but left thinking a little more about what “happiness” actually means 🥹

One thing Shuhua said really stayed with me — instead of constantly chasing happiness, she just wants to live in the present and truly enjoy each moment.

Maybe happiness isn’t always something we have to search for. Sometimes, simply being present and appreciating where we are right now is already a kind of happiness. 🤍

So happy I got to see Happy Days at TIFF before its official release — and finally got to see Shuhua in person 😭

Can’t wait for everyone to see this film one day!

趁 Richmond Night Market 結束前，去朋友的可麗餅攤位體驗了當一天店員🥞

原本以為做整crepe 很簡單，沒想到第一塊就直接失敗 😂 最後還是成功做出了招牌 crème brûlée crepe！

@cracklincrepe 是由兩位香港女生創立的，把她們在日本吃過的薄脆 crepe 帶到 Vancouver 🇯🇵✨ 除了擺攤之外，他們也有提供 catering，生日會或私人活動都可以預約～

Tried working at my friends’ crepe booth for a day before Richmond Night Market wraps up 🥞

I thought making crepes would be easy… until my first one completely failed 😂 But I eventually managed to make their signature crème brûlée crepe!

@cracklincrepe was started by two girls from Hong Kong who wanted to bring the thin, crispy crepes they loved in Japan to Vancouver 🇯🇵✨ They also offer catering for birthdays, private events, and more.

Metrotown 附近新開了一間日式厚切炸豬扒店 👀✨

這次試了大阪燒炸豬扒和 Miso Cheese，最驚喜的反而是大阪燒口味 🤍
大阪燒醬配上木魚花和厚切炸豬扒，甜鹹交錯，搭配起來意外地很合！

另外，白飯、味噌湯和高麗菜都可以無限續加 🍚

如果你本身也喜歡吃炸豬扒，可以去試試看 🫶🏻

A new Japanese thick-cut tonkatsu spot just opened near Metrotown 👀✨

We tried the Okonomiyaki Tonkatsu and Miso Cheese, and surprisingly, the okonomiyaki flavour was my favourite 🤍
The sweet and savoury okonomiyaki sauce with bonito flakes paired really well with the thick-cut pork.

Rice, miso soup, and cabbage also come with unlimited refills 🍚

If you’re a tonkatsu lover, this new spot is worth checking out 🫶🏻

牛肉也很高質，不過最讓我驚喜的反而是他們的熟食。雞翼炸得很鬆脆，第一次試他們的豆腐小丸子，也比想像中出色。

I recently went with my friends to try The Dolar Shop’s latest limited-time menu.

This menu is great for a group of friends or a family gathering.

We tried their signature giant grouper with pickled cabbage soup base. The fish was really fresh and tender, with no fishy taste at all, and the soup was sour, slightly spicy, and super appetizing.

The beef was also really good, but what surprised me the most was actually their cooked dishes. The chicken wings were super crispy, and it was my first time trying their tofu bites, which were honestly better than I expected.

最近去了 Mackenzie House，也就是多倫多首任市長 William Lyon Mackenzie 的故居。

因為他以前是一名記者，所以故居裡保留了一個小小的印刷室，裡面還有一部古董印刷機。

以前印報紙真的一點也不簡單，需要逐粒活字排版，連空格的大小也很講究。原來單是排好一個報紙欄位，就可能需要花上十個小時。

之後還有機會試試執字粒和排版，再用古董印刷機印出自己的報紙。

整個體驗都蠻有趣，而且還可以帶走自己親手印的小紀念品！

I recently visited Mackenzie House, the former home of Toronto’s first mayor, William Lyon Mackenzie.

Since he used to be a journalist, his former home has a small printing room inside, along with an antique printing press.

Printing newspapers back then was definitely not easy. Every letter had to be arranged by hand, and even the size of the spaces mattered. Apparently, setting just one newspaper column could take up to ten hours.

After that, you also get the chance to try setting the type and arranging the letters yourself, then use the antique printing press to print your own newspaper.

The whole experience was really fun, and you even get to take home a little souvenir that you printed yourself!

原來而家連魚翅、鮑魚月餅都有!! 😳

中秋節快到啦🥮✨ 最近去咗美心餅店試食今年嘅新款月餅，由鹹到甜一口氣試咗十幾款！

本身就偏愛冰皮月餅，今次幾款果味都幾驚喜，酸酸甜甜又唔會太膩🍓🥭

流心奶黃都依然穩陣，一切開真係流心到好滿足🤍

中秋節你哋最鍾意食邊款月餅？

Shark fin and abalone mooncakes are a thing now?! 😳

Mid-Autumn Festival is almost here 🥮✨recently stopped by Maxim’s Bakery to try their new mooncake flavours this year — we tasted more than 10, from savoury to sweet!

I’ve always been more of a snow skin mooncake person, and some of the fruity flavours were such a nice surprise 🍓🥭 Light, refreshing, and not too heavy.

The lava custard was also a classic win — cutting it open and seeing the custard flow out was so satisfying 🤍

如果氣味可以留住一段回憶，你會想留住哪一段？

因為我的生日快到了，所以決定去調一支香水，當作送給自己的生日禮物。

我想還原小時候和媽媽一起去街市花店買鮮花的感覺。

不是很甜的花香，而是帶有一點綠葉、新鮮花材，還有剛走進花店時那種清新的味道。

最後我用了 green note、小蒼蘭、玫瑰和雪松木，調出了一支屬於自己的香水。

雖然未必完全像記憶中的那間花店，但聞起來又真的有一點那時候的感覺🤍🫶🏽

Perfume making workshop - $95/50ml

If a scent could hold onto a memory, which one would you want to keep?

Since my birthday is coming up, I decided to make my own perfume as a birthday gift to myself.

I wanted to recreate the feeling of going to the flower stalls at the market with my mom when I was little.

Not a sweet floral scent, but something with a bit of green leaves, fresh flowers, and that clean, refreshing feeling when you first walk into a flower shop.

In the end, I used green note, freesia, rose, and cedarwood to create my own scent.

It may not smell exactly like the flower shop in my memory, but somehow, it still reminds me a little bit of that time.
