'Susan Hiller – Bad Dreams' 17.10.26–10.01.27 Opening: Fri, 16.10.26, 19:00–22:00 'Bad Dreams' is the first survey of British artist Susan Hiller (b. 1940, USA – d. 2019, UK) in Berlin, a city that shaped her practice in the early 2000s. The exhibition delves into the artist’s enduring yet strikingly contemporary investigation into how our personal and collective imaginaries are shaped by and revealed through images and objects, mass media, and popular culture. Curators: Emma Enderby @emenderby, Liberty Adrien @liberty.adrien Assistant Curator: Lara Scherrieble @some_lane Support by Teiger Foundation @teigerfoundation Media partners: ARTE @arte.tv, Spike Art Magazine @spike_art_magazine, Dussmann @dussmann.official, Yorck Kinogruppe @yorck.kinogruppe __________ #kwinstituteforcontemporaryart #susanhiller Image: Susan Hiller, Channels, 2013. 'KOO JEONG A – OUSSSEAN' 17.10.26–10.01.27 Opening: Fri, 16.10.26, 19:00–22:00 Since the early 1990s, South Korean artist KOO JEONG A @koojeonga (b. 1967, KR) has worked with varied materials to create works that play with our perception and connect us to hidden forces that lie beyond the visible, asking us to consider how we allow our senses to inform our reading of a thing, a place, or a moment. 'OUSSSEAN' marks KOO’s first major solo show in Germany, where they lived in Berlin during the 1990s and 2000s. 'Rafik Greiss – The City and the City' 17.10.26–10.01.27 Opening: Fri, 16.10.26, 19:00–22:00 'The City and the City' is Egyptian artist Rafik Greiss’s @rafikgreiss (b. 1997, IE) first institutional solo exhibition and the premiere of the artist's newly commissioned film. Working across film, photography, and sculpture, Greiss considers time not as a linear movement from past to present but as something composed of fragments – moments that accumulate, dissolve, and may unexpectedly resurface as sensation or afterimage. Curators: Emma Enderby @emenderby, Liberty Adrien @liberty.adrien Assistant Curator: Lara Scherrieble @some_lane The video work The City and the City was co-commissioned by Lo schermo dell’arte @schermodellarte, KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Kunsthalle Bern @kunsthallebern, and Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci, with the support of the VISIO Production Fund. Supported by the Visual Arts Office of the Institut français Germany and the French Ministry of Culture @institut_francais.deutschland Support by Karin und Uwe Hollweg Stiftung. __________ #kwinstituteforcontemporaryart #rafikgreiss Image: Rafik Greiss, The City and the City, 2026, video still © the artist. by @kwinstitutefcontemporaryart
