I had this idea to create a Kraken sculpture that looks like it's wrapping around a lit candle. The inspiration came from a national geographic documentary about octopuses. Eventually, wax will drip down over this guy, which should add a lot to the ambience of the whole piece. From crafting to priming to painting to varnishing, this one took over a month.

I am a little early for Stan Lee Day but I wanted to share a mural that I painted some time ago. Though I had to move before i could fully complete it, this piece was my way of expressing appreciation for a soul who deeply helped shape my childhood imagination. Stan Lee inspired millions by giving legendary superheroes human flaws, insecurities, and everyday struggles. His ideas painted entire universes for our inner canvas. In my youthful comic reading era, seeing the boundaries break between the different worlds was incredibly mind blowing. Sadly, as a lifelong fan, it was incredibly heartbreaking to know his final years were marred by greed and exploitation. I am forever grateful for the creativity and passion he added to this realm of existence. Thank you for everything, Stan. Excelsior!!!

I might not agree with the overreach of government officials who believe they have power to coerce private companies into censoring speech that they disagree with, but anyway here's another painting.

Choking on economy, dastardly and drastically. Comically and casually, cavalier and formerly. Creature of the century, prettier in poverty. Fattening in luxury, clap along and sing with me.

This piece originally started off as a wood burning idea which evolved into a fiery spectrum of colors
