📍connect71 cafe (ntu, near arc)

ramen | $9 | ★★☆☆☆

this place was quite disappointing & price was absurd for such a portion (menu on 3rd slide) 😭😭😭 at first i ordered yakitori don ($9) & my friend ordered ramen but when it came, we realised we wanted each other’s one so we exchanged haha but the ramen wasn’t even ramen noodles. the noodles were so thick abit like bcm noodles but slightly thicker and white? the pork belly was very tough but i don’t like pork to begin with so this might be just me. the broth was acceptable, hence 2 stars but overall, it kinda tasted like instant noodles 😀😀 the onsen egg was the WORST it was so sour??? like they put too much vinegar it was so bad i had to hold my breath and swallow it so i don’t waste 😭 the yakitori was ok but not the best either… overall i just feel like it’s too amateurish, which is nothing wrong, but for this price is absolutely ridiculous 😀

my friends also said matcha latte ($5.50) was pre mixed and quite diluted? but i tried abit of the strawberry matcha ($6) & very niceee probably the only thing worth there 🥲 it was quite a huge cup for this price~

also, if ure going to use the photobooth ($6) there, please DON’T 😐 the pics were of so poor quality and grainy. then, after we took, by right we’re supposed to get one retake according to the instructions but the screen just ended up loading and then suddenly went to home page and we didn’t even receive our pics (neither digital / physical copies) 😀😀😀 by @kyberry21

bento cake from @thebakerbok | $34 | ★★★★★

we got the 4” chocolate cake with oreo cream hehe~

.✦ ݁˖ base price for 4” is $28! serves 2-4 people & it’s really quite big~ can share between 6 people & get a decent size each honestly. they also have other sizes (5”, 6”, 7”, 8”)

.✦ ݁˖ they have a lot a lot of other flavours and some flavours need to +$2 but really lots of variety! the oreo cream flavour we chose was not too sweet ☺️ & the chocolate cake was very soft!

.✦ ݁˖ self-collection at bedok but they also offer delivery services hehe

would 100% recommend for easties 💌 by @kyberry21
