Hey GSA Alumni!
Artist in Residence, Harry Pickens, and GSA 1988 alum, Rebecca Sturgeon, are hosting a potluck for GSA Alumni!
This is a chance to sit down together again— no program, no agenda, just good company and good food. Open to all GSA alumni in the Louisville area, any discipline, over 18 years old.
Bring a dish if you’d like— something homemade, something from the store, something you’re proud of. If you’d rather just bring yourself, that’s more than enough. There will be plenty either way!

Carson Chesnut is a proud GSA Alum (Musical Theatre ‘25) and recipient of the KPA Bradley Awards Best Actor in a Leading Role (2025). We were excited to have Carson represent Kentucky Performing Arts yesterday at the Kentucky State Fair! He kicked off the Kentucky Farm Bureau Ham Breakfast and Auction with a rendition of “My Old Kentucky Home.”

Summer may be winding down, but we’re still thinking about the memories created at GSA this summer. Good things take time, so we made sure to include a sendoff to GSA 2026 worth the wait. Check out our Facebook page for our Final Day photo dump and stay plugged in throughout our fall recruitment season to see if you spot you or your friends in any artform photos! Talk soon, GSA 2026. Until then, go forth and make great art!! #GSA2026 #KYGSA by @kygsa

Creativity thrives when it’s recognized, celebrated, and supported. Governor Andy Beshear’s visit this summer was a powerful reminder that when state leaders invest in our young artists, they’re also investing in the cultural and economic future of our Commonwealth. #HeyGSA #GSA2026 #TeamKentucky by @kygsa

“Supporting young artists is so important and I am truly looking forward to giving back to GSA because those 3 weeks I spent with GSA truly shaped my life as an artist.”
