The triangle is no longer only gold.

In Triangle in Red, Kan Kyi looks at Northern Thailand as a microcosm of struggles unfolding across the world: war, displacement, drugs, human trafficking, scam centers, extractive industries, environmental hazards, and the lives of refugees and migrants placed constantly at risk.

The word “red” carries many warnings here. It is the red we see on air quality maps during burning season. It is the red of danger zones, borders, blood, extraction, and political violence. It also points to another kind of redline: the way this region is often treated as “baan-nok,” peripheral, and economically disposable, deemed a poor economic risk rather than a place of real people, histories, and futures.

But red is not only crisis. Red is also passion, bloodline, community, and the force of people who remain connected through shared struggle. In this work, the triangle becomes both a warning map and a call to solidarity: a reminder that the people of this region are not passive victims of larger systems, but communities with the power to remember, resist, and fight for one another.

Some cities are not one world, but many worlds looking through one another.

For .𝘄𝗮𝘃 (𝘂𝗻)𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗛, we followed the worlds that enter Chiang Mai through people: through songs, memories, languages, wounds, rituals, friendships, stages, listening rooms, and the small threads that remain even when lives drift apart.

MICROCOSM: WORLDS THAT COLLIDE looks at Chiang Mai not as one music scene, but as a city of partial overlaps. Displaced voices. Long-time supporters. Jazz learners. Korean musicians. Borderland hip-hop. Festival makers. Photographers. People behind the scenes. Worlds that meet, miss, gather, scatter, and sometimes recognize one another through sound.

To open the issue, Triple Edge will host a TEMPO.Radio party, bringing their voices, selections, and frequencies into the room.

Before the launch, we’ll also host dontree townhall, a small meetup for people in the Chiang Mai music scene to update one another on current projects, exchange ideas, and gather around the topic “คนเบื้องหลัง” / “Behind the Scenes.”

ทุกคนๆเสมือนพี่น้องเเละครอบครัวของผม ปีนี้ผมกลับบ้านไปสู่ครอบครัวอีกครั้งหลังจากผมออกโผบินไปติดกรงขังนานถึง 1 ปี 11 เดือน บรรยากาศเเละรอยยิ้มเเห่งความอบอุ่นยังคงเสมือนเฉกเช่นเคย ทุกคนต้อนรับเเละเป็นกันเองมากภายใต้อากาศหนาวเเต่กลับอบอุ่นได้อย่างน่าเหลือเชื่อ Mob party สำหรับผมเเล้ว คงเป็นอีกการเคลื่อนไหวสำคัญทั้งในด้านวัฒนธรรมเเละกระบอกเสียงทางสิทธิมนุษยชน ทุกคนมารวมกันในงานนี้ทุกปีครับเเละสิ่งที่ผมสังเกตุได้ งานจะใหญ่ขึ้นเรื่อยๆทุกปี สะท้อนประเด็นที่หลากหลายมากขึ่น
กลุ่มชาติพันธ์,เผด็จการMyanmar,ปาเลสไตน์,เรื่องสิทธิ์ของผู้ขายบริการทางเพศที่พวกเขาควรจะได้รับ ดีใจที่ได้เห็นครอบครัวนี้เติบโตขึ้นเรื่อยๆ มีคนสนับสนุนเยอะขึ้นเรื่อยๆด้วย ผมอยากให้คนสนับสนุนงานนี้เยอะๆครับ ลองไปดูได้ทุกสิ้นปีครับ

สิ่งที่ผมประทับใจมีเยอะมากอย่างเเรกมีหลายช่วงของงานผมมักมองหา Kankyi พี่ชายของผม เเละผมมักจะเห็นเขามองลงมาในงานจากซุ้มดีเจเเละยิ้มตลอดเวลาเป็นรอยยิ้มที่มีความสุข ที่ได้สร้างอะไรมหัศจรรย์เเบบนี้ขึ้นมา ผมหยุดยิ้มตามไม่ได้เลยครับ
ผมได้มีโอกาสชมศิลปินที่ผมอยากดูสดมากๆด้วยตาตัวเอง BlackArmatus,Unlitled @xulalit @posnegwoofwoof @breakingbzy เเละอีกมากมาย เดือดจัด น้องๆ Unlitled มหัศจรรย์จริงเว้ยผมกับน้องทำเพลงกันในโรงเเรมฟรีสไตล์กันสดๆ พลังของวัยรุ่นจัด โครตเก่ง เก่งเเบบขยันเเละฝีมือวะ เหมือนผมเห็นตัวเองในช่วงม.ปลายเลยครับ ผมอยากให้น้องได้รับการมองเห็นมากกว่านี้ @unlitled9000 @sawadeekubpomfirst @plenjdub @apidet_hadsamad รวมถึงศิลปินที่พยายามสร้างสรรค์งานด้วยจิตวิญญาน
