INTRODUCING THE KJCA/KVMA VETERINARY SCHOLARS PROGRAM!

This newly redesigned program is designed for high school seniors interested in pursuing careers in rural and food animal veterinary medicine.

Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, professional networking, and exposure to veterinary practices and educational pathways, participants gain valuable insight into the opportunities and realities of a career in food animal veterinary medicine.
This is an excellent opportunity for Kentucky students to explore the profession, build connections, and gain meaningful real-world experience in veterinary medicine.

Applications for incoming high school seniors are now open!

Over 100 KJCA members from across the state came together at the 2026 KCA Convention in Owensboro. We celebrated our 2025 officer team and board of directors, welcomed our new leadership, honored our members of the year, Auburn vet program participants, Fall Classic high individuals and cattle working champions. During the KCA Foundation luncheon $11,300 was raised through the donated heifer fundraiser. Our whole day was filled with beef industry education, new friendships and looking forward to 2026. by @kyjrcattlemen
