We're trope central and I love it 🫰 fun fact: All of Me is the song he sang when he proposed. I was sitting in the lobby of the Grand Californian Hotel when the grand piano began to play. A voice I knew well joined it, and when I turned around, there was my boyfriend, in a tux, singing to me for the world to hear 💛 Spoiler alert, I said yes 😉 by @kylasnextchapter

Swipe to see me ugly cry at the end of The Last Thing He Told Me 😭

I love a good suspense novel that can hit me in the feels, and Laura Dave delivered!

This free little library find was a total win. Definitely a page turner for me---I loved the characters and was eager to know where the story took them next.

But honestly I kinda love how the ending wrecked me. Enough that I'm not sure if I want to read the sequel! Has anyone out there read book 2?? Should I keep going?

In case you missed Beth Brower's announcement last week, here's the latest from St. Crispian's... Emma M. Lion Volume 9 is now available for pre-order!!!

Release date: February 23rd, 2027 ❤️

I know I know. It feels like a long wait. But here's what Beth has to say about it---
"I know I’d planned to release Vol. 9 this year, and Penguin was poised and ready to do the work required so that could be the case. (They have your back.) But I needed just a handful of extra weeks to make certain that I had done right by the characters. Volume 9 is a riot, there are a lot of moving parts, and the terrain of the book requires me bringing my ‘A’ game to the endeavor.
I knew a handful of additional weeks would give me the amount of time needed to send the book into the world with excitement and peace rather than a feeling that I’d moved a sliver too fast. So thank you, thank you for this last final show of patience. It will soon be in your hands."

With intentions so pure, I'll happily wait. I couldn't bear for these beloved characters to receive any less than the best!

Another half marathon in the books... means a whole lot of audio books 🎧📚
When it comes to a running buddy, I typically reach for immersive worlds I can get lost in, "page turners" with fast paced plots, or books that get me laughing (extra points for dark humor 🖤)

These titles have been excellent companions:
✨️Cursebreaker by RM Gray (final book in a FANTASTIC Gothic pirate fantasy trilogy)
✨️Coraline by Neil Gaiman (a total dark fantasy/horror lite CLASSIC)
✨️A Stage Set for Villains by Shannon J. Spann (Unique premise and a plot that kept me guessing)
✨️The Cruel Prince by Holly Black (YA courtly fae intrigue)
✨️All Systems Red by Martha Wells (short, darkly funny, first in a series)

Such a gorgeous guide -- great for the fam, lovers of artsy books, or anyone cozying up to poetry for the first time
📚 BLOOD OVER BRIGHT HAVEN
this standalone dark academia fantasy is soooo good...a perfect September read

✨️The doggie boi is christened an official BARK RANGER by the WA State Parks Dept

✨️Brought a game along with my nature guides -- long live nature literacy!!

✨️Love looking into the water at night... so many of the creatures are fascinated by the flashlight

GO BE WILD. It's a necessity 💚
