This year I ate at 125 different restaurants, stayed in 27 hotels, went on 29 trips and saw 62 films in theaters. I also read 25 books. It sounds like a lot on paper, but I wouldn’t have it any slower. My favorite meals were in San Francisco @misterjius, Minneapolis @bucheronmpls and New York @leveaudor, @missionchinesefoodny and in my own home. They are always more about the company than what was on the table. Hotels, tricky, but @elencanto.sb and @fsmadrid were favorites for their blending of old and new. Books and films are trickier, loved Reichardt’s The Mastermind and Kooky Bugonia, I read the entire @831storieshq catalog so I’ll tip my hat to them. I’m really looking forward to 2026. Hopefully there’s a little less bad news and more good. I could use some of that. I love all@my friends more than ever, you know who you are. ❤️🧡💕🥳 taken in New York, New York by @kylebeechey

2025 in baked goods. Even with a broken oven for 3 months I got a lot done. Theme was fruity, lots of citrus zest and black pepper. I think the apricot galette à la @chezpanisse was my favorite. 💁‍♀️ taken in Lower East Side by @kylebeechey
