5 years ago, my friend had asked me to join wrestling with her and i thought it would only be temporary until i found something better. That was until i realized that there was nothing better for me. I can’t even begin to express how grateful i am for showing me a sport that has taught me so many life lessons and given me friendships that will forever hold a place in my heart.

These girls have seen me at my worst and have pushed me to be better even when i felt like i didn’t care anymore. Through this mentally and physically tough sport, i know i would not have stuck it out without them by my side.

Thank you to every one of my coaches who saw potential in me when i joined, and kept faith in me through all of these years. When my confidence got low this year, I didn’t even think i would place at state. You gave me confidence when i needed it most and i conquered challenges i never dreamed of. Thank you for teaching me lessons that will serve me in the years to come.

Beyond my teammates and coaches, i have my parents to thank for every early morning tournament, adjusting to my eating needs, and driving me to every practice until i got my own car. Not only did you do all of these things, but you did them happily and supported me every step of the way. I’ve never had anyone cheer me on as much as yall do❤️

I’d say i don’t know how to live without this sport, but i know that it will stay apart of who i am throughout my whole life. I will really miss it though 🥹 by @kylee.m14
