FGCU Foodie Frolic 2026! 💙💚

- I am so excited to say that I was chosen as one of the delegates to showcase FGCU’s hospitality program to FL state legislators! It was a lot of fun!

I had the pleasure to serve wine and study the art of opening a wine bottle as well as helping out with preparing the food. (The citrus cake was my favorite!).

This is my third time in the Florida capitol on behalf of FGCU in a year and I can definitely say this was another long lasting memory. Thank you to FGCU’s school of hospitality for this trip! Go Eagles!! 🦅 taken in Florida State Capitol by @kylee.navarette

FGCU Day Post Part 3!!💚💙

- Most of these photos were taken on Day 2 and Day 3 of the FGCU Day trip! During these photos, the FGCU Day Delegation and I were passing out fliers for the FGCU Day Reception and advocating for FGCU’s Legislative priorities while building a better bond with FGCU students and the school as a whole.

As an FGCU Delegation returner for my second year, this year was as much fun as the last! From the late night talks with the delegation members in our hotel rooms to watching our mascot and UCF’s mascot do a dance battle in the middle of the Florida Capitol, this trip could have not been better. Every Florida Representative, Senator, FGCU staff and FGCU Alumni we met were so sweet and helpful with networking.

It was really interesting to learn more about Florida’s history while Azul was being a diva and with the delegation members’ funny jokes. The House of Representatives and Senate chambers were absolutely beautiful during the tours. Not to mention the amazing restaurants in walking distance!!

Not only had I got to see FGCU’s growth, but this trip has also helped me with my own personal growth in leadership and beyond.

It has been an honor to advocate for my university and most importantly, as FGCU President Timur says, our university.

I love you @fgcu and @fgcusg!

Go Eagles 🦅

Brief summary of FGCU Day: FGCU Day is a trip to the Florida Capitol where students advocate and represent FGCU for their legislative priorities. During the trip, delegation members share personal stories and show our love for the school by sharing it with Florida Representatives and Senators. It is a trip that is totally free! During the trip you will meet with Florida legislators, FGCU Alumni, eat at restaurants around the capitol building, and build a lifelong bond with fellow FGCU students! It is so fun and I highly recommend anyone to apply for next year!!!

If you have questions, want to know my experience at FGCU Day, or want to know what to expect then feel free to dm me! taken in Florida State Capitol by @kylee.navarette
