IYKYK. Being female in a male dominated work industry is not for the faint of heart, but some of the most impressive women I know are in this space. But also, I LOVE sticking out in my bright colors & fun patterns in a sea of black/blue/grey polos and quarter zips.

Many of you have noticed me wearing colors that aren’t your traditional 4 season winter colors.. and the 4-season system is a great place to start.

But for many people, including myself, the 12 season palette fine tunes and is specific to your 3 dimensions of color. It’s really encouraged me to try some unique colors (as seen in the reel) that I’d never tried before!

In this reel, the first color in each pair comes from a traditional 4-season Winter palette. The second color is a Dark Winter color from the 12-season system.

Neither one is more “correct.” They’re all harmonious. The difference (in my opinion) is that a 12-season palette gives you more options that reflect your unique coloring.

Same season. More possibilities. 💙

Have you ever been typed in both the 4-season and 12-season systems?

Both systems have been such a game changer for me, you truly can’t go wrong with either, the key to both is harmony!

Things I’m no longer wearing at 37..

-Cheap clothes that look good for one wash and then lose their shape.

-Uncomfortable shoes. If they hurt when I put them on, they’re not magically getting more comfortable later…big on reading the reviews too.

-Trends that look amazing on someone else but don’t feel like me. If I don’t love it on me, I need to move on.

-Clothes that fit someone else’s idea of who I should be instead of who I actually am. Staying true to my style (and learning it as I go..)

-Anything that makes me constantly tug, adjust, pull, or suck in all day. Absolutely not.

-Colors, cuts, and styles I only wear because they’re “supposed” to be flattering.

I’m leaning into choosing quality over quantity, comfort without sacrificing style, and clothes that make me feel confident the second I put them on.

Getting older hasn’t made me care less about fashion—it has made me care less about everyone else’s rules.

I did it! I wore every outfit I planned on Sunday for the week….AND I LOVED IT!

WOW it made my mornings such a breeze when it came to getting dressed (and I didn’t trash our bedroom/closet)
