A PROGRAM SWEEP… COUNT THE TROPHIES!

My athletes amaze me everyday, but they absolutely blew me away this week. These kids scraped, clawed, and fought to overcome so many things this season. My Pom team went back to back with a national title in Team Performance NAIA, and got second in Hip Hop NAIA, my cheer team won Advanced Small Coed NAIA, and my stunt team formed an all-girl cheer team and won the Intermediate All-Girl NAIA Division! Having three teams competing this week was SO crazy, but the work was worth it!!

Thank you to my teams, athletes, and coaches for embracing me, and making feel like I belong. Thank you to all the parents who traveled, and their kind words. Thank you to my right hand woman, Mackenna for holding down the fort at OCU and all your hard work this past year. I literally would not have survived this year without you.

So, same time next year..? 😉

Loving my short hair 😍 I don’t even have a recent picture of how long my hair actually was, but I did chop around 20” off of it! I went and saw Tanya at @code.microsalon for the first time, and she made all my hair dreams come true! She was amazing, and the salon was such a welcoming space. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 by @kyleewarne

My great grandpa passed away on Saturday. He was 96 years young. He taught me to play chess when I was a kid, and we would play any chance we got. He was a phenomenal player, and he NEVER let me win!! He will be greatly missed 💙 by @kyleewarne

Photo dump from soccer and volleyball season! I have personally had a tough year going through my own ACL surgery, but have been incredibly grateful and blessed with the people around me. My co-workers and grad student, my coaches, my doctors, and my athletes. And yesterday will go down as one of my favorite memories as an Athletic Trainer! We traveled to MACU, and my men’s soccer team beat MACU to win the SAC Conference Championship, and my women’s volleyball team beat MACU in the first round of the SAC Conference tournament!!
These two teams have been so fun to watch all year. They have put a smile on my face and been the highlight of my day when I wasn’t having a good day. Got my first red card as an AT yelling at a ref to protect my players. I have watched these girls grow as women, grow their confidence, and fight for every single point.
It was a full circle moment in many ways. Three of my athletes, who were also my athletes at SCU and ended up at OCU, won a championship together. One of my athletes who had gotten injured against MACU earlier this year, who wasn’t supposed to be able to play the rest of the season, scored the game winning goal on the same field to win the championship!! As great as yesterday was, their seasons aren’t over yet. Can’t wait to see what else they accomplish this year as a team, but what they accomplish in their futures. I’m just very grateful today 🥹💙 by @kyleewarne
