killjoy by @heyritamae out nowwww. 🫠 rita is one of my fav humans to make music with. something immediately clicked with our sensibilities and i’ve never not absolutely loved a song we’ve written together. such a joy to work across this whole EP with her. if you have a spare 12 minutes i highly recommend running it front to back. it’ll be worth your time :) huge shout to my brother @space__above on mixing, @joshstrandmans on the master, @samuelluria on mgmt, and @otisaltaiexp on the art! love you rita! 🫶 by @kylegetsloud

KiNG MALA’s debut album And You Who Drowned in the Grief of a Golden Thing is out today.

i executive produced this album alongside @danloump and @kingmalamusic plus an unbelievably elite party of collaborators.

feeling massive gratitude to have been so involved in this project. from the jump areli created an environment that encouraged deep creativity and exploration. i think everyone who came into the project felt that energy and was changed by it. in a moment where digestible singles and soundbites reign, this album is an act of resistance. it’s deep and uncompromising. i’ve never been so proud of a creative project. this is a culmination of basically 16 months (cus i also helped produce the visuals but that’s for another post lolol)

@kingmala im indebted to you for bringing me into your orbit. it permanently changed me and the way i create. your vision is profound and ive never felt so creatively fulfilled and excited as i did making these songs. i can’t believe we bamboozled our insane art shit onto new music friday hahaha love you so so much

@danloump you are the thread of the entire album. this world wouldn’t exist without you. it’s been an absolute dream to collaborate with you on this. your attention to detail, writing, and sonic fuckery are inspiring. you have a way of digging beneath the surface to get to an idea that’s 1000x more iconic and you bring out the best of everyone in the room.

huuuge shout to @kmgmt, @peterhillnet and @handwrittenrecords > @virginmusic for letting us fly the freak flag at full mast.

and massive love to the other demonically talented collaborators on this album who brought their whole ass to these songs
