Best spontaneous decision I’ve ever had! Where to next? by @kylerobrock

The end of one chapter, the start of another ❤️

The last couple of months have looked a little different for us. We’ve spent more time apart, traveled with our moms, had our own adventures, and danced with friends. We’re learning to be comfortable growing separately, while always coming back to choose each other.

We celebrated 7 years together, received some unexpected news, and are heading into whatever comes next.

The seventh season secret: building a life together doesn’t mean doing everything together.

And in a shocking commitment to the bit, we’re leaning into the BROKE part of TwoBrokeGays now. 😅

Here’s to season 8 ❣️💗

Our 48 hour spontaneous Tijuana Trip 🇲🇽

Had some of the best food we’ve ever tasted—grilled oysters 🦪

Made friends with the luchadors

Got sun-kissed at our hotel pool

“Sipped” carajillos at a cute wine bar

One more hotel stay.

One more drink.

One more unforgettable night.

We headed home with new memories, experiences, and appreciation for city just across the border.

Until next time TJ! ✌️ 😘

To close out our Redwoods trip, we wanted to share something a little vulnerable.

Recording the sunset was planned. The conversation we had was not.

Planning a trip, executing a trip, and showing up for the person you love isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. There were moments of disconnect, assumptions about what the other wanted/needed, times of frustration, and moments where we wondered if all the effort was even worth it.

But this trip taught us a lot about ourselves, each other, and who we are together. Lessons we never would have learned if we hadn’t gone.

This clip captures a moment where we slowed down, shared our experiences and feelings honestly, and reconnected.

Sometimes the balloon catches a strong updraft. Sometimes the string gets tangled.

It’s not the job of the partner to pull the balloon down or untangle the knot, but rather to allow for a safe place to be heard without fear or judgement.

A sunset overlooking the Pacific certainly helped.

But it was the simple question,

“Hey, talk to me. What’s going through your head?”,

that reignited the spark.

Our last stop before heading back to SF ✨

Campground shower: 10/10

Jack found a town we needed to stop and explore

Guerneville 🌈
guess we’ll have to come back when it’s open

Every great trip needs to end with a great sandwich

Reunited with our friend Caleb before heading home

day 4 ☀️ - we spent the morning doing our own thing.

Kyle went hiking.
Jack made breakfast back at camp.

A few hours later we were back together, driving Highway 1, exploring Glass Beach, and enjoying the sunset as queens in our Chariot.

Sometimes the best days start off doing our own thing
