Incredibly grateful for these generous reviews by Steven Winn (SF Chronicle), Joshua Kosman (On a Pacific Aisle), and Cordell Reports! Rinaldo has been my most challenging role yet—I never thought of myself capable of even singing a single note of his. I’m grateful that a year ago, Maestro @emilysenturia convinced me otherwise!

Huge thanks as well to our amazing director @keturahstickann for bringing out the extroverted superhero from this normally introverted guy (plot twist!)—and to the entire cast and creative team for being joyful and supportive colleagues throughout this wonderful process!

Last Sunday we closed Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with @pocketopera. Had the pleasure of singing Oberon, one of my dream roles. Personally, like him, I enjoy mischief-making and joking around (sans the wife manipulation) but ultimately have a soft spot for true love… I’m extremely lucky to have shared the stage with amazingly talented friends and colleagues 🧚🫏🩷

🇵🇭✨ FAHM Feature!! My bestie Kyle is the most incredible countertenor, artist, and not only part of the Kapwa Ohana, but my Suarez Ohana too 🥹

We met at The Glimmerglass Festival in 2023, and the following year we both performed in Calisto! Kyle also took part in our very first AAPI Artist Roundtable Discussion, alongside so many other inspiring voices from the program. The audio from that conversation was later woven into a Kapwa commission by Amane Sakaguchi (@amane_kosaburo) titled “Echoes in the Rice Field”, beautifully performed by Amane and Emmalena Huning (@____emmalena) in our Kapwa Recital! 🎻🌾 by @kyletingzon

New company and role debuts, continued work in between as a regular chorister with the SF Symphony, and as a side hustle, defending the world from the evil Gwi-Ma and sealing the Honmoon. It’ll be a great season! by @kyletingzon

What a fun adventure to explore Central City Opera! It was nice to see friends and meet new friends!!! I had fun!!! Now it is time to return home!!! Cheers Queens and everyone else!!! Lots of fun with friend Kyle Tingzon. Thank you Ashraf and Bernard for your hospitality!!! Bravo to you both on your shows. Great season of three shows: The Knock (Fantastic show), Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Cool Production), Once Upon a Mattree (Loved this show). Shout out to a lot of friends working with this company and also meeting new friends who slayed in their roles. All the best to the casts, crew and orchestra! Great job friends working!!! Much Love!!! I love that Central City Opera promotes and recognizes all parts of the process in stage work with recognition of a staff in each performance. This should be a thing everywhere.
