POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Life post grad has been very different than the life I used to know. I’ve had the privilege of taking this time to be slow and intentional with my next steps. One thing I know for certain is I want to lean into being creative, and finally involve art in my life seriously.

Art has always been a passion of mine, in various forms and mediums. I always viewed it as a hobby though, and something to eventually grow out of as I pursued my academics and athletics. It wasn’t until graduating and reevaluating what matters to me, that I realized art didn’t have to be something I grew out of.

Featured in this post is my most recent commissioned painting, a recreation of a Henry Aaron rookie baseball card using limited tools, and years away from practicing art. This piece showed me a glimpse of what I am capable of, and I’m excited to challenge myself more.

Our world is increasingly focused on artificial intelligence and convenience, but I believe we should all stay invested in what makes certain things uniquely human. There is value in the time, effort, imperfections, and individuality that go into creating something by hand. Some things are meant to take time, and I think art is one of them.

So I’m looking for more opportunities to create, grow into my style, and build my portfolio. If you’re interested, or in need of some art, please reach out! :))) by @kylie_bowes

A pretty memorable chapter of life is now coming to a close. So many lessons learned, memories made, challenges faced, and experiences had. I’ve been molded into the best version of myself as I prepare to walk across the stage, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.

I’m so thankful for the different places that became home, the people who supported me in each of them, and the journey that led me here.

So CCU later college, onto the next chapter… and the possibilities feel endless 🩵 by @kylie_bowes
