Book Review: Helpless by Jessica Knoll

Starting this fall countdown off with an erotic thriller! Honestly I think this was great way for me to slowly ween off of the summer romances, and transition over to the eerie essence of the upcoming season. This was overall a good read and finished it in one sitting, which I haven’t been able to do in a WHILE.

Faye Heron has built a life far removed from the all-consuming relationship that defined her college years. But when a funeral puts Henry back in her path, old feelings come rushing back, and what begins as a nerve-wracking reunion soon becomes something far more sinister than Faye could have ever imagined.

Books I’ve read, books I want to read, and what I’m wearing.

My TBR has grown a mile in the last week and honestly what can a girl do! I’ll get to it when I get to it 🐥

A fun little twist on my TBR list ⭐️
THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN TO MAKE!!

I love to throw myself into the full level of ambience when I’m reading, and if I could switch decor doe each book I read…I absolutely would.

A few days ago, I saw a post @tequilabookclub_ shared and felt so inspired to make my own version!

Recently I’ve found it difficult to see the joy in situations that feel rather bleak, I am SOOOO over it.

To combat this, I’ve decided I’m going to choose a color palette each week that I can be intentional about finding through my daily routine. Or maybe my search will take me somewhere I’ve never been to see things I’ve never seen before! The possibilities truly are endless 🌷🍀

This is just a small way to combat the feeling of doom that sometimes is a little too hard to shake, and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

I’ll keep you guys updated on my finds!! Love ya 💓 by @kyliesnextread

We’re bacckkkk!

I picked up the Windy City Series, and I still can’t put them down.

In honor of this series getting me out of my reading slump, here’s a peek into how I see these characters. Of course there are a few people missing, but you’ll be seeing them soon 😛.

Have you read the Windy City Series? If so… WHO’S UR FAV I wanna know. If not, what are you reading? 🍭

Sooooo… HI!!!

I haven’t seen you guys since 2025, BUT I AM UP.

To make a long story short, 2026 has been full of hospital visits & tears, with just as much dancing, happy hours, & living like it’s 2016.

Let me just tell you, READING IS HAPPENING. My kindle and I have been inseparable lately & just know we will be talking about what I’ve been reading.

For now, enjoy this little life recap. We’ll be back in the books soon, love you more than anything!!

BRIDE - ALI HAZELWOOD

Oh, what a story. This was my first read by Ali, and I ate.it.up. I LOVE a genuinely funny FMC, and Misery just was that. Maybe it’s a trauma response, but hey, she works it.

I absolutely adored the maturity of how often they communicated their feelings, and how they listened to one another’s communications. That feels like something that only comes sparsely within the genre, so it was just so refreshing!

I ended up finishing this in about 24 hours, and automatically picked up its sequel, Mate, immediately after ( which we’ll talk about soon)

Have you guys read this yet? If so, what did you think? 🐺🖤 by @kyliesnextread
