you are all things vibrant - a hurricane of love and dinosaur noises. So much of the ‘too’s and always enough for me. You’ve handled this year with an astounding level of flexibility and grace and given love so freely, and sometimes aggressively. A yapper to the core and fiercely protective of his people and his puppy - equally protected as ferociously by both. A coach’s kid who thinks all stadiums are his playground and his soccer girls’ biggest fan. A common and enthusiastic inmate in ‘air jail’ and one of the big reasons why I started lifting weights again. A whirlwind of independence and the softness of bedtime snuggles and yelling momma just because you need a kiss. My favorite dance partner and all my greatest memories. May you always be fearlessly bold and forever yourself. Being your momma is the greatest thing I am and could ever be. Always us, Reesie B. Two of the most unfortunate days of being the youngest sibling come when you first realize that there will be a day where you have to live in a world that they do not, and the second is when that day actually comes. Today is the second. My biggest brother is gone.

Everyone holds different versions of the same person. I have the opportunity to hold the version of the eldest brother of 6 and being the closest sibling as the baby of the family. Todd has been my first call when I need help, advice, or the general catching up + shit talking. In some areas, I was his first call, too. He has always steered me in the right direction and told me the truth, even when I didn’t want to hear it or him to be right about it. He frequently checked in on Reese and I, and I always knew he had my back. It’s been the honor of a lifetime to have people know me as Todd’s baby sister.

Todd loves his kids fiercely and loves being a grandpa even more so. Please keep them in your prayers as the weight of the new normal sets in. It is a heartbreaking loss for all who know and love him.

Miss you always, love you forever - take care of my boy until I get there.

Love,
