The Nitro Challenge at @nitro.martial.arts is officially over, and after a month of martial arts classes, fitness challenges, and sparring, I can say I made it to the top! That first place spot was earned, and the whole month was me vs me; locking in to be my best self in and out of the gym, and pushing myself to remove all limits. Proud of everyone else who did the challenge with me; we all got some goodies, gained technique, and toned up mentally and physically. The next generation of warriors has arrived.

We've just hit the next level. Let's keep pushing. 👊🏾🥋 by @kylinsthenics

Good evening, Insta fam! I've had a lot of people ask me about my latest cosplay, and I think I've held y'all off long enough 😏. Here's the latest cosplay I made for my competition, called "The Shaman of Xūcūtol". This cosplay embodies the dual cultures of West Africa and ancient South America, mixing both the spiritual and physical cultures and showcasing how they are more alike than we may realize. This was also made for a fitness cosplay contest to showcase how I find fitness to be both a physical and spiritual journey of wellness and enlightenment. Everything you see is hand painted or hand crafted, and even though it took many months to get everything done, I'm very happy with how it all turned out.

Just like last year, definitely look through all of the pics and pick the one you think would make the best background (you can just comment on the one you like most). The one with the most votes will be the one I pick! As always, thank you for supporting me in what I do. 🙏🏾 by @kylinsthenics

"I ran, and I ran, and I ran..."

This was a great Saturday for the Cocky Trot 5K. I've done 3+ mile runs before as a part of my workout, but this is my first official 5K - and of course, I do it during the time when I haven't been focused on running as my primary workout for months. But it was a fun time with family and friends, and I was still able to average out at 9:30/mile, so I think everything turned out well. I'll definitely be doing this again soon. 💪🏾🏃🏾‍♂️ taken in Columbia, S.C. by @kylinsthenics

Wanted to share this recent @turtlefur cap purchase with y'all that I bought from @sierraofficial while out of town. Firstly, because it's the warmest cap I've had on my head, and you should get one for the Winter. But I mostly wanted to share because of their #projectwarmth initiative, which gives a free hat to someone in need and TWO when you tag the retailer the hat was bought from (which I did haha). I want more people to stay warm this Winter, and if I can help by making a simple post, then I'm with it. Plus I get to look cool with the new gear. 😉

Stay safe and enjoy the new year, fam. We'll talk soon. taken in Columbia, S.C. by @kylinsthenics

Thought since we're having a good Friday so far, I'd post a vid of my first ever cosplay: Draw 4 Guy! Based on the Draw 4 card in Uno, people love and hate this cosplay at the same time. I've had this one for around 5 years, and it still holds up nicely (I'm always adding new stuff to it though!). The folks at the Omni liked it so much they wanted to shoot a 360 of me, so I thought I'd show off the results to y'all. Hope you like it. 😉

More con pics to come!

More drops from Momocon! Anyone who grew up with me knows that Bleach was the first anime I ever watched that I actually knew was anime (we didn't count Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh as kids lol) and it's still one of my favorites to this day. So imagine my surprise when I got to meet the voice actor for Ichigo, Johnny Yong Bosch, and got my limited edition POP figure signed by him!! Definitely an amazing moment from the Number One VA himself!

Everyone HOLD THE PHONE! My favorite artist @itsmandymo decided to follow my Instagram page! ME, the guy from the humble regions of South Carolina, gets followed by one of the GOATS in the game! Getting to know her has been an absolute blast, and she has an incredible heart that's only matched by her talent. If you love anime and video game artwork, definitely check out her page and see what she's got. Can't wait to see you again soon, Mandy! 🥳 by @kylinsthenics

Had a blast at @momocon with the boyz at the Musclenerdz contest this Friday! Pretty much my favorite thing I did at the con this weekend. Everyone put in the work for both the cosplay and the muscles, and the results are clear. Can't wait to do it again with y'all next year!
