I wanna explain how my live-set works.. since I spent (and spend) a bunch of time building it — but many of the thoughts and ideas that went into it are largely invisible. So.. Here‘s a first overview (and some more detailed stuff in the end.. if you keep watching) — .. what do you think? Is this interesting. Let me know! Haddetschüss by @kyongsono
A little behind the sound of Kyong Sono and his newest EP “AROUND”🖤 The inspiration, the process, and why it’s the best to experience it on the dancefloor. by @kyongsono
✨New Music! ✨ AROUND is out now on @kotori.berlin ! I’m so very happy this EP found such a nice home! ❤️ The two tracks STIMMT (slide one) and AROUND (slide two) have been a part of almost all my live sets since I made them. And now they’re yours :) have a listen! STIMMT was originally written for KYONG DUO with a full solo violin line. And we will continue to perform it live like that. But I think it also deserves a life in its pure, raw since version. AROUND started with samples I took from Fela Kuti‘s song Lady (none of which stayed in the final track) and then took on an unexpected life of its own. Dark and warm. With some vocals by me, about wanting to be close to a dear person. Hope you enjoy :) Mastering: @zettkaberlin Cover Art: @malengall by @kyongsono
Welcoming @kyongsono to Kotori. ✨ With his debut EP “AROUND”, the Berlin-based producer brings a warm, detailed and playful take on club music. Organic grooves, rich analogue textures and subtle melodic details shape a release that’s both driving and effortlessly inviting. Landing this Friday.

Our next EP, "Feeling Great", is another very special release for us, as it was written by two of our closest friends @uberhauptundausserdem. The opening track, "Feel In", combines a deep house vibe with warm vocals that bring back a nostalgic feeling. The release is rounded off by a reinterpretation from @kyongsono , who adds his own distinctive touch to the original. The second track, "It's Going Great", comes in the familiar signature sound of Überhaupt & Außerdem. @j_esmaeili_f gives the track a more club-driven twist with his remix, making it a perfect addition to the release. We're really happy with how this EP turned out and hope you'll enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed putting it together. by @kyongsono
— UPDATE: please send me a dm. That makes it easier for me to send the link! — Last Saturday night at FUSION, @svenjalippert (<-❤️!) and I had the honor and pleasure to play a show as KYONG DUO in my beloved Salon de Baile! A big Thank You! to the Salon team for the opportunity and to everyone who came (some of you again, even) and danced and cheered and loved and laughed. It was such a good vibe :) Unfortunately, the recorder, that was meant to capture the music, failed — and now we’re left with only the room mic recording, which is rough and gnarly, but.. captures the energy of the moment very well. Since people asked if they could re-listen to that set, I sat down and saved what I could. It’s up on Soundcloud now, but private. So if you wanna listen, comment here or send a dm and I’ll send you a direct link. We will record a studio session one day, soon-ish. So you can hear what KYONG DUO is supposed to sound like. But for now… Buckle up and enjoy the wild, bumpy ride. :) 🚀 by @kyongsono
What can I say…. ФУЗИОН! 🚀 I am so grateful and happy to have been on this rocket ride again. After seven(!) years without a Fusion (with the exception of Planet C, which was nice, but not the same..) I had the honor to play a Friday morning live set at mighty mighty Sonnendeck. 🙌 .. thank you to everybody that made this possible! And thanks so much to all of you who came, stayed and danced despite the early hours and blazing sun! I‘ve uploaded the recording of my set to SoundCloud. Have a listen, if you like :) And yes.. @svenjalippert and me also played a show at Salon de Baile Saturday night as KYONG DUO. But I’ll make a separate post about this later :) Haddetschüss ❤️ by @kyongsono
✨Finally that space suit makes sense :) See you in Lärz 🚀 Friday 9:00-11:00 Sonnendeck Sunday 1:30-3:00 Salon de Baile (feat. KYONG DUO / @svenjalippert ) by @kyongsono
What a pure moment. What a performance. 🤍 A few years ago, after his set at Gravity Mirage, I had the chance to get to know @kyongsono and call him a friend. During one of our conversations, he mentioned that his wife @svenjalippert is a world-class violinist, yet they had never performed together. Last January, I asked him a simple question: “What if you created a live show together?” Months later, Kyong Duo was born in Berlin. At Gravity Fantasyland, they premiered this project for the very first time, and what unfolded was one of the most beautiful and emotional performances I’ve ever witnessed. A journey full of storytelling, elegance, vulnerability, and love. Bringing people together. Creating bonds that become friendships, friendships that become collaborations, and collaborations that become unforgettable moments is what Gravity is all about. Kyong & Svenja, thank you for your trust, your hard work, and for sharing this beautiful piece of yourselves with our community. Can’t wait to heart it again. Love is here. 🤍 #GravityFantasyland #KyongDuo #gravitycommunity by @kyongsono
