SIGN UP LINK IN BIO GOGOGOGOGO!!! Hello all I am SUPER DUPER excited to announce I am leading a FREE 5-week long course into the creative experience. Feeling lost? Feeling drained in your creative practice? Want to hear about the ideas I've been ruminating about for half a decade? WELL COME ON DOWN TO FLEET STREET AND WE'LL FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HECK WE'RE DOING WHEN WE MAKE ART. This has been a passion project of mine for a while now and the 2nd time I have run this course so, if you or an artist in your life likes thinking about the big ideas behind our silly little paintings and witty little ditties, don't be a stranger. by @kyper.active

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending Kyle Osborne’s final recital at Trinity . Kyle is a gifted musician, both an inventive piano player and creative singer . 🎹🎤 I first heard Ky when he was a first year student when he attended my monthly jazz jam which was then hosted at The Jam Circus Deptford . Ky has that indescribable ‘something’ .. his mildly eccentric presence and energy makes him a stand out one off character . I particularly enjoyed his rendition of ‘Visions’ composed by Stevie Wonder . His delivery both vocally and verbally chatting in between the tunes was most engaging . I truly believe with a lucky break and the right management Ky and his chosen jazz influenced disciples could enjoy commercial success . In his playing yesterday he demonstrated moments of the late great Billy Taylor 🎹 ❤️ . I was also touched by his heartfelt gratitude shown to his parents for supporting him through his childhood and adulthood journey whilst studying . Yesterday he did himself and his parents proper proud 🎹🎤 👏👏👏 @kyper.active by @kyper.active

This Wednesday at The Lescar, we’re really excited to present brand new joyful and exuberant music from a brilliant quartet led by Tomorrow’s Warrior, pianist and composer Kyle Osborne. K.O Quartet are making waves on the UK jazz scene, performing at Ronnie Scotts, the Royal Albert Hall, the Vortex jazz club, We Out Here festival and not least at 2025 Bath Jazz Weekend where they earned the status of ‘hidden gem’ alongside a host of more established artists. Mixing a playful approach with intricate and original arrangements of jazz standards and their own unique compositions, K.O Quartet bring new energy straight from the vibrant London jazz scene. TICKETS: £10 or £7 for students. Pay on the door, or alternatively get advance tickets by emailing lescarjazz@gmail.com or messaging us here. Doors 8pm, music 8.30pm. From roots in Senegalese Mande music to a fascination with modern hip hop, Kyle Osborne mixes this with a strong sense of the great jazz pianists that have inspired them, and an outgoing, contemporary perspective. Definitely a name to watch out for, emerging from the Tomorrow’s Warrior talent development programme that has brought us the likes of Nubya Garcia, Shabaka Hutchings, Ezra Collective and so many other incredible musicians. Providing a firm anchor to the music Freddie Canton (bass) also performs with Poppy Helmer, and is on his way to being an established figure on the London jazz scene, Originally from Derby, and another rising star, Ollie Young (guitar) is establishing himself on the UK scene, performing recently alongside Tony Kofi. And with a range of musical interests from jazz drumming to beat-making Joe Steyn (drums) has played with artists including Gan Gemi, Achilles heel, C-sé and many more and performs at venues including the renowned 606 Jazz Club in Chelsea. #sheffieldjazzscene #sheffield #livemusic #sharrowvale#sharrowvaleroad #jazzatthelescar #sheffieldlivemusic#livejazz #improvisedmusic #improvisation #livejazz @thelescar @sheffieldjazz @jazznorth Gig poster showing pianist Kyle Osborne, appearing at The Lescar this Wednesday 15th April with their quartet K.O Quartet taken in Jazz At The Lescar by @kyper.active
