I love seeing everyone’s grad photos. So much growth happens in the first 18 years of life. Ryder was late to speak, didn’t like reading, and had to drop out of French immersion in grade 3. We were quite worried about our little guy. At some point, he realized learning was something that thrilled him and yesterday he graduated top of his class. So proud. Off to McGill!!! by @kyramillan

Another incredible week at OMFA has concluded.

It’s always been a pleasure and honour to accompany singers, but doing so at the provincial level with performers from all over Ontario was a treat to be a part of and witness. With talents ranging from classical voice and speech arts to musical theatre and songs from the screen, the performances on display were truly ones to remember.

It was also so good to see familiar faces and meet new fellow accompanists, and I’d like to applaud and commend them for all the incredible work on display throughout the week. In addition, it wouldn’t have run so smoothly without the amazing team at @omfa.ca - I’ve mentioned this multiple times, but adjusting the schedules to accommodate the pianists’ driving and transportation this year was truly appreciated, and definitely didn’t go unnoticed.

I’m so proud of each and every student who asked me to perform with them. Whether they won additional awards or made playoffs, making it to OMFA is a huge accomplishment in itself, and anything on top of it is icing on the cake. It’s an honour to be able to make music with them, and I hope we can continue doing so for many years to come.

Many thanks to @hcpa_performing , @kyramillan , @aniquemercier and @erinfishermusic for trusting me with your students - it means the world. Working with you is always incredible! And of course, a huge thanks to Jenn who made everything run so smoothly behind the scenes.

Until the 2027 season! 😎 by @kyramillan

Elizabeth Sheridan treats me to a thrilling concert during her lesson today.... working with musicians on embodiment, psychology of performing, and musicianship is such a treat. There are so many commonalities across instruments that musicians struggle with. A lovely change from working with singers. I could listen to her play all day!!! #musicteacher #bagpipes by @kyramillan

#Happybirthday to @maaikeasselbergs . A very small and special celebration with family today and a small brunch with her women tomorrow!! 75 requires multiple celebrations, in my opinion.....
